Cam lost his monkey....

..looked & did not see this discussed. Cam has got rid of the monkey on his back. Mr.Newton threw a pick late in the game and the Panthers won. The team stuck together regardless of how dejected young Cameron looked. I, for one, am thrilled to have this mark behind him and us. I was so over hearing that stat repeated, fellin like Cam knew it & couldnt get past it. It is just a feeling of relief to know that now Cam knows he can get past picks...

Apologies if there is already a thread...

Just wanted to clarify. Meaning the QB's fault or the team as whole for not finishing games?

The team. No one can expect the QB to play perfect every single game just to win. I've said elsewhere, but Rodgers, Manning, Brees, etc. would all have sub-.500 careers if this same thing occurred to them.

1-18 when your QB has a turnover is just a sad, sad stat.

I don't normally disagree with a lot of your posts but, No.. A "sad stat" is when your team is so undisciplined that some fans and the media won't call out the team but continue to push the lie that their QB not playing a perfect game week in and out, means doom for the team.

If a QB's INTS meant instant team lose then how come the Bengals are in the play-offs despite Andy having more Ints than Cam? How Come the Colts are in the play-offs despite Luck having more ints than Dalton?

Only with Cam is all this BS believed...Gee I wonder why?

You are right. And what is so funny and no one has ever called him on it, is how much Brees loves to pad his stats by trying to get as many passing yardages out of a game. Even when he throws like 5 picks or the teams loses, Brees stat is still up there. Amazing how no one every calls him out on how much he loves to protect his own franchise, himself, like Brett Farve but last season folks were actually accusing Cam of being "me first" when he broke Peyton Manning's passing yard record.

    • If we lose tomorrow we’d have to sweep the Bucs in order to get into the playoffs. With a loss tomorrow the Bucs would then hold the tie breaker if we finished tied If we can’t split with NO then we sure as hell not sweeping Tampa It’s win or go home tomorrow in my eyes  Biggest game since 2017 playoff game imo
    • Grok AI: No, there are no credible reports that the Carolina Hurricanes offered Jake Guentzel the same contract terms as Tampa Bay (7 years, $63 million total, $9 million AAV) before he signed with the Lightning. Reliable sources, including The Athletic, consistently reported that Carolina’s offer during negotiations was an eight-year deal worth $64 million ($8 million AAV). Guentzel did not accept it promptly, leading the Hurricanes to trade his negotiating rights to Tampa Bay on June 30, 2024, for a 2025 third-round pick. He then quickly signed the 7x$9M deal with the Lightning on July 1, 2024. Guentzel himself later reflected (in 2025 interviews) that staying in Carolina was his initial preference, but negotiations stalled and “didn’t work out,” with Tampa’s opportunity becoming a “no-brainer.” No reports from outlets like ESPN, NHL.com, or insiders (e.g., Elliotte Friedman, Pierre LeBrun, Frank Seravalli) indicate Carolina ever matched or offered the Lightning’s exact terms—total money, AAV, or length. The extra year was Carolina’s key advantage, but they reportedly stuck closer to $8M AAV and moved on when Guentzel explored options.
