My Case for drafting Kennan Allen and Matt Elam.

Milliner could be gone. Jonathan Banks is right there with him as the #1 corner prospect though. Banks reminds me of Ike Taylor to a tee. Truly a shutdown corner.

I'm honestly thinking all the Warmack hype might end him up in the top ten.

I'm higher on Banks then I am Milliner, but not by much. I wouldn't mind either guy if the elite OT's were off the board....

It'll be interesting to see, since we apparently had Barron rated higher than Keuchly last year, if we end up having another safety projected in the bottom of the 1st that we'd be willing to take with our 14th pick. Things would be so much better if we could somehow get an extra 2nd or an early to mid 3rd...

Banks and Milliner are literally neck and neck for me. The combine will distinguish whose number one but both prospects will have nice careers.

If Warmack is gone, for me it's either Eric Fisher or Banks/Milliner.

Some may laugh, but Fisher might even be too high for us by April when everyone knows who he is.

He is a hell of a receiver, at a Greensboro native (:. Now I do not suggest we draft him because I have a personal relationship with the guy, I am saying draft him because he is a STAR. Him and Cam will get along perfectly, he will learn from Smitty how to be the guy and not take poo. That allows us to move Brandon Lafell to the slot which is a mismatch everytime. He is 6'3 a tall and athletic body. Can KR, PR anything asked of him and is a team

You think LaFell should play the slot. That tells me all I need to know about your opinions.

I'm not getting the love for Warmack. He's obviously a great player, but if we're looking at the offensive line let's look at a tackle. Protecting Cam is going to be done primarily on the exterior of the line. With as many holes as this roster has and is going to have to fill soon, picking two guards with premium draft picks is excessive. Ever hear of diminishing returns?

Grab a defensive tackle or a player in the defensive secondary. Look for a guard later. If there's not a highly-rated guard, grab a tackle with bad feet and throw him inside. While I like the idea of grabbing a guy who's probably going to start at a high level for ten years, we would have thrown a TON of assets (money and draft picks) at the interior of that line.

    • After some of the calls last year probably won't see much of a drop off

Resisting changes that would actually incentivize good performance and not seniority based systems. What a bunch of donkeys. Hope the replacements straight up take their jobs and never give them back. Sick of watching refs script games with no repercussions.
    • Donovan seems like highest risk to me. Lloyd and May have already established relationships with all these kids. There’s probably guys hitting the portal that they recruited from HS. And then there’s the possibility of transferring their own guys from their current teams. They’ve also been recruiting the HS kids for like the next 5 years already. Look at the Iowa coach who hit the ground running by transferring all his guys from his D2 program. Or going across sports to Cignetti transferring all his JMU guys year one then building off that to a national title year 2. Donovan is starting from square one having been in the NBA so long and he’s already 60. So you’re potentially punting year 1 for a guy you are just hoping to be a 10 year hire while you figure out how to actually develop your next home grown 20yr guy. That’s 1/10th of the time you have him, more or less at best. The hope would be that he would find some high level assistants who have been working the college recruiting trails already, but then are you giving up his ideal staff just to get a foothold in recruiting and transfers. Think Belichick year one was bad? Imagine how much worse it would be without Steve Belichicks transfer portal pulls. Hoping Mays or Lloyd are all they’re cracked up to be.
