As for The Golden Calf of Bristol becoming a Panther, I say hell no. However, it would make for an interesting media experiment. If The Golden Calf of Bristol were to come to the small-market Panthers, irrelevant to the entire world except for the Carolinas and the small extended fanbase nationally, my thought is that the media circus surrounding him would come to a screeching halt as if he no longer played in the NFL.

He would be back page news and the media frenzy would shift its attention elsewhere. No way that they heap that much focus on Charlotte and the Panthers.

I would be willing to bet the exact opposite.

The attention wouldn't be on the Panthers so much as it would be on Cam & The Golden Calf of Bristol.

The day it was announced you would hear half of ESPN radio fapping on air because they knew what was about to happen.

First day of Camp:

"My sources are telling me that Cam is struggling in practice & The Golden Calf of Bristol has a real shot to start."

First Pre-season game:

"I can't help but notice that Cam only played 12 minutes while The Golden Calf of Bristol played 3 quarters! That tells me a changes is coming in Carolina!"

Week before opening day:

Reporter: "So Cam, a lot of people say that The Golden Calf of Bristol was a great college QB but doesn't deserve to be in the NFL. You were The Golden Calf of Bristol's backup at Florida, how does it feel to have The Golden Calf of Bristol as your back up now?"

I can imagine the panthers bringing The Golden Calf of Bristol in to Cam's dismay, then Cam make the playoffs the next 2 years of his contract and the fan all excited about a bright future and Cam says "I am taking my talent to the Big Apple, the Jets".

Cam is a confident elite player, he is not a Sanchez. he can get whatever he wants, including his GM fired or the starting job for 20 other NFL teams. The day The Golden Calf of Bristol is mentioned as even a rumor to Carolina is the day we say goodbye to Cam.
