A friend of mine had a pristine '86 GT when I was 16... that thing was sterong... no clue on earth why his parents let him have it.

One day we had been out shooting some ball with friends and he was following me home... I had my Z-24 to the floor and it would run about 125 wide open... he came up beside me and waved and walked it away from me so easily it was pathetic. He had to be going 155 or 160 before he backed off...

I have no idea how we didn't die in those cars.

I never drove one of those, but I knew a guy that had one... it was decent... faster than it looked.

you can actually do some pretty cool stuff with them if you want to... knew a guy who put a 'vette engine in one... just turned into more of a death trap.

my first car was a '66 mustang... cherry red... saved for years to buy it... had a straight six in it. :(
