Favorite Muscle Car

Sadly a lot of those late 60's and early 70's "muscle cars" weren't really very fast... yeah they had torgue and sound, but not much else.

A lot of the little import 4 bangers that aren't really even "sports" cars can run with them now.

yea, they were poorly designed and didn't handle for shiat... but they're still awesome.

Like it or not the fox body was a "muscle car" of it's time. The Camaro went through a similar stage. Both weren't attractive. Both had to potential to go like stink.

The IROCs and Gta TransAms were fairly nice... I had both. Those fox body's were hideous until the late 80s early 90s.i always wanted 90 lx. Never liked the look of the gt's.

first new car I bought was an 88 Mustang GT....hot damn that thing could fly. So much power.

at the time I believe it and the Corvette were the only two cars with 17" wheels...as far as readily available cars. I burnt the stock tires off in the first month or so doing burnouts etc for my friends. Then I discovered that they were over $300 each to replace...and that was the end....or at least it minimized the number of burnouts I did after that!!!

have to admit...I like the new Chargers too

If I had to get a new car I'd definitely try for one of those. They are just bad-ass

thats fricken hot for sure!

I'd be tempted as well...and I'm probably not far off from shopping as my current ride is an 04.

I'm thinking that Charger or a Camaro being I just bought a truck not too long ago so I'd have the winter months covered.

I'm also considering another Acura TL as I love the one I have...but they are also coming out with a new RLX in 2014 I believe.

Also considering an Audi of some sort. So many choices!

    • Exactly.  You let him play out next season and continue to develop Thorton.  Jackson’s earned his next contract, but his age and the risk of tying up such a large portion of the payroll at one position leads me to believe that we’ll let him walk. In all likelihood, we’ll draft another CB, or two, and bring in some journeymen to fill the roster void, between now and the start of the 2027 season.  That’ll create more balance financially across the roster enabling us to invest in other areas.
    • As far as the NFCS … I think this division will be hotly contested the next couple of years.   I am tending to pay more respect to both Atlanta and the Saints n terms of how strong they will be moving forward, than not.    I am mixed on Ryan but think they have a decent roster to start with. I don’t think he blundered hiring Stefanski. And that offense can be dangerous with a QB. Plus, defense is arrow up. No 1st round pick, WB issues will dull their effectiveness. Question is, to what degree?   I think Moore is going to be a good HC and can overcome tape that people have on Shough. They need a lot but they were playing with people. Just the way you want to see all the way to the end.    Not sure about Tampa they have Mayfield but I don’t think they can maintain their success and Bowles is not going to last much longer. They have to go through all that. Gonna be tough once it starts. Might already have started.    For us I feel pretty good about Morgan. But less so about our offense, we have some short term RB and OL issues and those things are critical given what we are working with at QB.  Overall, mixed. Like a lot of what I see but some major question marks remain.
    • Absolutely. If we are talking about a 20 year old youngster. He's a grown-ass man, and he doesn't know what his job entails or how to do it? Maybe he will be better next year! It's the Panther way.
