Pat McCrory says there is no money for the stadium.

This reminds me alot of North Wilkesboro Speedway. It wasn't so much the fact that New Hampshire was a new racetrack for Nascar to go to with more stands, it was more the fact that the speedway itself would run out of water on Sundays during the race. The town of North Wilkesboro/Wilkesboro and the county refused to build a pipeline from Wilkesboro to the racetrack. By essentially refusing this, NW could no longer expand its capacity, which it could have much like Bristol or atleast Richmond in terms of capacity.

I know the county of Wilkes lost $9million each year from the revenue that the 2 races brought in and that was in 1996-97. Today that's probably $20million a year.

While it does suck to pay out that money to fund the stadium, what the city would lose each year would be far worse.

Are there job openings at your bootstrap factory?

They can come make minimum wage where I work...legal or not. Plenty of openings.

Or the government can get smart and start farming the medians along the highways using the labor of those that want a hand-out and are able-bodied.

Piss in this cup and show me you aren't on drugs and you can have a job...otherwise good luck.

I already give up 42% of my paycheck to the Gov. I can't give anymore.

Because studies have shown that public funding of taxpayer stadiums actually loses governments money.

    • The league would protect him.  The amount of poo Jerry Jones has had exposed and got away with?  The amount of poo Stephen Ross has got away with?  How long Dan Snyder got away with essentially fuging sex trafficking employees and poo???????  Taking down JR was a hit job.  You think the other 31 owners, especially the older ones aren’t blathering, blatant, ignorant ass, bigoted rich racists who have committed far worse things than Blue Jean Fridays?  The ones I named above have DEFINITELY did worse than what JR was accused of.  And do you think guys like Steve Smith would’ve been viewing him as a father figure if they felt that’s who he was?  JR pissed the league off with that last lockout situation and they made him pay.  They lined a new guy up to join their billionaire boys club in Tepper, and they prolly slid a pretty penny to Jonathan Jones to write the “expose,” to get JR out of here.  Again, all the owners I’ve listed above have been verified on record for doing worse poo, yet they’re still running their organizations, unquestioned.  They hand-picked Tepper long before JR was forced out, so he isn’t going anywhere.  Sadly.  fug the NFL.  (Also, to be clear, it’s always fug racism, bigotry, and sexual exploitation - not ever excusing it.  Just making the point that the NFL isn’t operating under this clear standard of justice applied to each and every case)
    • I was still in the throes of a contentious divorce and my job at the time had me work on Sundays.  At the beginning of the season I tried to still work around Sundays so I could see our games.  I think after Bryce came back from the benching, I said fug it.  First time in my life I intentionally didn’t watch our games, even through the Atlanta finale.  In the past, even if we didn’t live up to expectations, I would watch to still support and at least analyze player development, strengths and weaknesses, coaching, etc., but Bryce makes all of that a moot point, so I stopped watching. Again, this is asinine,  it if he is retained (still can’t believe this is even a possibility of a conversation due to how shitty our organization has become under Tepper), I will NOT watch next season until he is gone.
    • Live look at Bryce playing ping pong.
