Ironman 3 Trailer

It should be good if they don't make it into Robert Downey Jr. the movie like they did Iron Man 2. Since all of the advertising is focused on him, I'm not getting my hopes up.

Yeah, I the first one was much better and to me, this one looks more like the 1st than the 2nd in terms of storyline.

“These findings are just the latest evidence of the economic benefit that film and television production has meant for North Carolina,” said Senator Chris Dodd, Chairman and CEO of the Motion Picture Association of America. “Thanks to a reliable and refundable production incentive, North Carolinians have been able to reap the benefits of direct spending and job creation across the state. Marvel’s Iron Man 3, like so many productions that choose to shoot in North Carolina, generated hundreds of millions of dollars in spending for local businesses in dozens of communities and thousands of jobs for North Carolina workers.”

Iron Man 3 received $20 million in support through state tax incentives. This investment by the state resulted in the following economic benefits:

· $8.99 in economic output for every dollar of tax credit received by the production.

· $6.50 in Gross State Product for every dollar of tax credit received by the production.

· 102 full-time equivalent positions for every $1 million in tax credit received by the production.

· $5.20 in labor income for every dollar of tax credit received by the production.

In addition, several of the businesses hired directly by the production have reported the film to have had a significant effect during the filming period. For example, Master Craftsmen Services, a furniture restoration company, reported to WRAL that Iron Man 3 represented ten to fifteen percent of the company’s business the year in which filming occurred, and Tidewater Storage Trailers reported that roughly ten percent of its business was generated by the production of Iron Man 3 in the first six months of 2012.

Don't let that trailer fool you, the movie isn't nearly as good as the trailer is.

Ben Kingsley isn't really even playing the Mandarin. The entire first half of the movie is so awesome with Kingsley playing this badass chilling terrorist, and then half way through the movie it's revealed that Mandarin is really just an actor and decoy that Guy Pearce's character created because he needed a distraction.  That twist completely ruined the movie for me.

There's more reasons than that why it's bad too. There's a ton of plot holes, Tony Stark is probably only in the Iron Man suit for about 5 minutes in the entire movie, the final fight had a really WTF moment, and I'm willing to bet that most people are going to think that the extremis soldiers are silly.

According to Rottentomatoes.com, out of 74 reviews from professional film critics, 89% were positive which is pretty damn high for any film let alone a comic book movie.

But I'll be sure to keep my expectations tamed.

If you have no problem with the spoiler then chances are you'll enjoy the movie. I was personally really let down because it was nothing like I was expecting it to be. After watching it I honestly thought that the critical reception would be identical to Spiderman 3. I'm shocked that it's been getting so much love.

But if I had to lower someone's expectations without telling them the spoiler I'd definitely tell them to think Spiderman 3 because to me they're very similar in terms of how hyped they were and how let down I was after seeing them.

    • 100%. And these same people will claim you have an agenda. You can't have it every way. We had the lowest rated defense in the league last year. Statistically the worst ever. By PFF grades (for whatever that's worth- but they are readily accepted, used, and conveyed by most "reputable" sources), the defense was the worst ever. Not only that, PFF rated our receiving corp the worst in football last season. The absolute worst... out of 32 teams. Which is why regardless of the lip service Canales and Morgan paid to the current guys, they knew it would be criminal not to give Bryce more help. People fixating on team stats and not taking these things into context are stupid, plain and simple, and I'm for one thankful they're not running this team (or probably anything for that matter bc they obviously can't discern reality. Again, going back to the eyeball test these Narrative Nancies seem to hate so much, did they not see the windows Bryce was putting balls into? Have the generally not watched much NFL? Please, please show me the film where all these NFL QBs are making throws like this to this point Bryce was "below average" down the stretch compared to them. Bryce made more wow throws in that 3 game stretch of the Bucs, Chiefs, and Eagles than every other QB combined in all the years since since Cam got hurt I genuinely am baffled by people that can watch throws like that and act like it's nothing. I guarantee you Steve Spagnola, Todd Bowles, and and Vic Fangio didn't think it was nothing after watching the little guy torch them with players those teams would be embarrassed to trot out at the skill position players. The national media spent all year making excuses for Mahomes not having elite weapons when he had multiple 1st & 2nd round talents at the skill positions along with future HoFers in Kelce and Hopkins. Bryce wasn't throwing for 300 yards every week with David Moore and Adam Theilen in spite of jaw dropping throws and you want to say the guy played below average. For those people, again, we ain't watching the same sport. And the name calling doesn't change that... The vitriol and projection... it's off the effing charts with these people.
    • "Well you see if you remove this terrible game that terrible game this other terrible game and then focus on these games you'll see he's actually one of the better QB's in the league and he's actually as good as Jayden Daniels". My god this place is delusional. I love it.
