i know who he is and I'm sure i remember talking to him more than he would me. been a fan of their music since the very early 90s. i never know what to call him though. i wanna call him roy, but he's futureman. I'm a bigger fan of his brother, tho., but I'm a bass player....or was. i kind of retired a few years back.

Strat man myself. 1992 American Custom, also semi retired. Currently entering my second month of drum lessons at 45 years old. Figured what the fug.

Smitty getting 1,000 this year and next or what? I ain't betting against him but I still want a WR in the 1st or second round.

It's not about what Steve is capable or not capable of, it's about preparing for the inevitable. And no that does not involve drafting a fugging DT 14th overall when the best you will have at receiver minus your star are guys who would be damn lucky to be #3 receivers on any other squad in the rest of the league.

rickenbacker man right here. mine was born in october of '72. I've got a few more basses that have a lot of mileage on them as well, but that's my favorite.

my victor wooten story...i was at merlefest in the instrument vendor tent and saw an 8 string acoustic ovation bass, but the second strings were the exact same gauge as the one above it. i had been messing around with a lot of alternate tunings mainly because i had been listening to a lot of michael hedges and michael manring at the time. anyway, i messed with the tunings on that 8 string and just started noodling. i kind of noticed that i was drawing a little bit of a crowd watching me, but that wasn't a big deal cause i was used to performing. i just happened to look up at a buddy of mine when i did something a little funky (not in a good way) and he had this wierd look on his face and nodded next to him trying to get me to look and it was victor who was grooving to what i was doing and he looked like he was actually enjoying it. i was ready for and used to people watching me play, but not him. my fingers turned to jello and my little groove fell apart. i saw victor shake his head and walk off.

Man smitty is my favorite player and once he retires he will be my all time favorite he's one of the reasons I'm into football as much as I am and one of the reasons I became a panthers fan even though I lived in northern indiana my whole life its def going to suck when he hangs em up but that's part of the game

It depends on a ton of things. Cam needs to stay healthy. Our line needs to block well. We need to be in close games passing the ball to win. The offensive coordinator and head coach need to work out. But if you just look at Steve and Steve only I wouldn't bet against him. He doesn't break tackles the way he used to but his route running is very good. His hands are pretty good. He's still strong as an ox. Steve will play at a high level as long as he wants to. At what point does he decide enough is enough? At what point does he decide his family needs him at home?

      Names I'd keep an eye on... Coby White,  Jalen Suggs, Amen Thompson  and Stephen Castle...  3 teams except Orlando has checked on Melo before and rumblings of sours getting rid of fox too. I'd think they think Melo and Wemby would make them nuclear out west.

      Well he somehow had 12 preseason carries for not playing. He also has 20 carries in the regular season, not three. He has actually played in about 7% of the offensive snaps for this regular season(33% of the special teams snaps). This isn't stuff you have to make up, these are very easily referenced statistics, man.

      It's not common for a RB to recover from two ACL tears in the same knee. It's fairly rare. You are correct that it isn't the career ender that it used to be but there is also the fact that we appear to have largely moved on with the additions of Dowdle and Etienne.  Dobbins is a very good example. He has basically missed 54% of his career regular season games since he came into the league in 2020. It will end up being 57% at the conclusion of this season. It's a big contributing factor to why he is on this third NFL team in 6 years. It's certainly possible that may be 4 by the beginning of next season. I would say there is very little chance that Brooks ever contributes in any meaningful way in Carolina. Possibly with another team but I am extremely skeptical of his future here because of those injuries and because of the roster.
