Someone asked Joe Person about Sheldon Richardson On Twitter.

Person responded that he's not sure the Panthers 'love' Richardson at the 14 spot. He considers wide receiver and safety the more likely options.

Make of it what you will :unsure:

Just like we were likely to pick coples right after we picked kuechly :P

believes in BPA.....also says best player that fits us at that time

Makes a pretty good point about Victor Cruz, that sometimes outside perception is off. People clamoring for Giants to draft receiver they knew they had a good one in Cruz.

Often times the answer is on your roster. Talks about young talented kids on this team that he can't wait to see in training camp. That's encouraging.

Talks about Josh Norman. Kid struggled, got benched. He has come back 'a different kid.' He has got talent, up to us to develop these kids.

Said at outset of Free Agency no nickels. Now we have three great ones.

On top 3 position needs----he says he sees "No major hole" Young guys have to continue to improve. Doesn't think our team is fools gold.

On getting more picks- you can talk yourself out of a really good player. (team keeps dropping----definitely taking a shot at the Pats). You can't knee jerk- he would like a third rounder, but he's confident we'll get two quality NFL players with first two picks. (called that)

Used 28 of 30 draft visits all over the board in terms of talent level.

"Heavy body LOS changers are big.....for the team"

Said free agency has changed. Lots of 1 year deals, doesn't know if it's healthy for team environment. Thinks Hixon and Blackburn will show our young guys how to handle themselves. Notes their jewelry will help.

DT tackle group is deep,really talented. Top 3 guys very talented, but the group is deep. (top 3-Star, Floyd, Richardson?)

DL and DB is very deep. O-line is deep. In order. If those jive with our needs----"Let's just say I'm not angry."

On Wonderlic test----it's also a reading test, if you can't read well you can't do well. If you're worried about learning then bring him in on a visit. Wonderlic is an indicator of sorts, simply part of the process.

Conversation between scouting staff is good. Thinks Marty put together a heck of a scouting staff. Don Gregory is extremely thorough.

If you look at the back end of the Panthers draft, we've got players on the field playing (mentioned last four drafts in particular)

Florence will compete for a starting job.

On the Big Cat "Oh he's been involved. He's a blessing. Wisdom in both business and football world. Can't put price tag on that."

Sounds highly unlikely we move up, he won't move down if a player he like is there.

My interpretation: we aren't going to draft a corner. Sounds like he feels like Norman is similar to Victor Cruz. Maybe Josh Thomas similar.

You can tell when he talks he wants to just spill the beans, and is trying to hold himself back. Sounds experienced.

Definitely think one of our top two picks is going to be DT.

I'd love to talk football with this guy.

Hasn't really said much. Did however just imply he was hesitant of trading down.

Referred to it as possibly exchanging a dollar for three dimes.

I think that means that we are at 14 and trading down to the late 1st isn't necessarily a good idea just because you want extra picks.
