You also didn't get the point of what I was saying. Probably because you were to busy tryin to act tough on a forum. But the point is in the draft especially the first round you are trying to instantly upgrade the team with a starter that will help win games. Well the defense got better towards the end, and now is a different era, we play Atlanta that is effective at throwing the ball and they can score just as much as us if we don't get pressure on mattie. Now that they have Stephen Jackson you can't take them lightly. Playing the Saints is a toss up. And if you can't remember last year, forte was running like he had a school bus opening the hole, and the game against the giants was just embarrassing. The past 2 years the offense has been pretty decent ranking in the top 10 but the defense needs to be top 10 all year.if we did add on offense I think it should be to strengthen the line.

No fuging way. What if that WR or TE doesn't plan out as intended, drafting a TE or WR in round 1 is not guaranteeing you get a stud back. If we knew for sure Eifert would be the next Gronk or Austin the next Smitty it would make the pick a lot easier.

As far as the defense though, it is true we are very close to having an incredible D last year is proof. We all hit the panic button when Gamble went to IR and when gimpy Beason wasted 4 games where Kuechly could have been dominating in the middle.

You add another solid player to the defense in the first round, who knows how good they can be...

If we cant generate enough offense to win with what we have now (and what is inevitably going to get better by week 1) there is a problem because with a good defense your offense doesn't have to light up the scoreboard.
