I was just as surprised as everyone else with this pick, but I am excited to have what should be the best defensive line in the league for foreseeable future. I've heard Short is first round talent, but needs to work on his motor.

Short has first round talent that jumps off the screen when he plays, i get a lil down when we address a position that i dont think we need, but never completely if that guy has supreme talent. Doesnt bother me enough to dislike it. Short is gonna be very good. And you gotta remember he plays a important position in the league today, u have to feel pretty good about it long as it isnt a RB or LB pick.

I was on the wagon that wanted offensive weapon(s) in the first/second rounds. But...

I think with us being ranked 10th (i think) in defense last season - we are likely to improve to top 5 with the infusion of talent in our defensive line. Our defensive line and linebackers are downright SCARY. Excited to see the new defense in 3-4 months. :)

Should be amazing fun watching this defense get after Brees and Ryan

Also, this kind of defense may enable us to compete with the best teams like San Fran.
