I know there's larger markup's out there, I was talking from a game system point of view. Systems usually loose money at launch and that's counting the store's take. (Which isn't that high, very little money made on the actual systems themselves by the store.) The money's made on the accessories and games. (stores only get about a 10 dollar markup on a game unless they do in store advertising for said game)

Which is why the system selling for 500 when it's 325 to make is surprising. Typically in past generations the Xbox one would sell for 299 or 349.99 with that cost to make.

Don't get me wrong, $500 is still outrageous to ask for, if xbox live was free I might consider it but without not a fuging chance

I'm guessing they go 399 and release in October (one month before Xbox One)

There's another big game in the books here plus the destiny gameplay being shown for the first time and the exclusive content for that game. Then the release date and price point announcement.

I'm also going with a 349.99 price point at launch with a 250Gb hard drive and another sku with a 500GB hard drive at 399.99.

    • Option 1 is most likely. Even if he kills it this year, it wouldn't be prudent to rush an extension for one good season. If you have to pay him more because you waited another year, then he earned it. And that's OK. Adjust accordingly.
    • Cam had the advantage of having a very strong supporting cast his first 2 seasons. Things definitely worsened later on. But those first couple of years can kill a QB. Some never truly recover. If they do recover it takes years, and usually with another team. Trying to learn to be an NFL QB with TEs and WRs that are trying to learn too is a recipe for disaster. Imagine if Cam's rookie season was that 2014 offensive squad. Changes everything! I said it when they moved up in 2023. This team wasn't ready for a rookie QB yet. Anyone that thinks Stroud would have been a lot better is delusional. The correct formula is to build a strong team and then you go get your rookie QB. Not the other way around. BY is going into his third season and we're still trying to put a respectable group of WRs and TEs around him. I think they have the right personnel now. Unfortunately they haven't developed into actual NFL players yet.  This season we should expect consistency and aggressiveness from BY. Mostly for his development but also to DEVELOP his young cast.
    • It is goofy how some people hate Bryce so much that they're flat out lying to try and remain entitled to their pessimism. It's insanity. Most fans are realists and eagerly awaiting the season to see if we get pre- or post-benching Bryce to start the season and how much he is able to do with some young and developing weapons. Many of us understand that these young guys are going to have growing pains on the job as well as the new defense, but the fans with all of the excuses for why Bryce can't be successful are pounding the no excuses drum. Personally, I'd prefer the Keep Pounding drum.
