Brief conversation w/ Luke Kuechly after practice

Sat in the front row right at the 45 at TC tonight.  When Luke came by signing everyone was just going, "Luke, Luuuke, LUUUUUUUUKE!!!" handing him stuff to sign.

When he got to my area I asked him how he thought the first practice went and he said he thought it went really well and said he was glad it wasn't as hot as it could have been.  Then I asked him if he had put on weight like most everyone thinks.  He said a little but not that much.  The guy next to me said, "You look a lot bigger" to which he said thanks.  He kept on making eye contact with those of us actually talking to him while he was just blindly signing stuff.

Then as he was slowly leaving our area I said, "Don't forget to get on Cam tonight about that interception."

He actually laughed and said, "Yeah we already talked about it.  Now I get to ride his Segway whenever I want."

It was really cool.  He was right there in front of us for probably 3 minutes signing stuff and he was actually carrying on a conversation with me, some dumbass Huddler from Shelby.  Made my day.

That would have been quite an achievement with him in the stands.

Probably my favorite Panther after Steve Smith. I have found it difficult to fall in love with other players as much as I have loved 89 through out all these years as being a fan, but Luke has quickly put himself on my top 2 list.

It sounds like a real friendship is growing between our quarterback of the offense and quarterback of the defense. The fact that one is Superman and the other Clark Kent has to be some sort of cosmic coincidence. Awesome stuff.

I really love Hurney for picking Luke. Not everything he did was bad.

Luke's are more defined, but yeah Lotulelei's arms are huge :blink:

 

Think what he can do with them once he's coached up on pro level technique.

The future is bright for Carolina with Luke leading the defense and Cam leading the offense, and they both get along pretty good. They know they are the 2 most popular players on the team, and have accepted the roles as leaders.

Or, if a player's wife and kids are in the stands sitting next to you the whole practice and you don't know who she is, Armond Smith climbs up into the stands with your help.  He too was awsome.
