The Charlotte Bobcats will begin the 2013-14 campaign on Wednesday, Oct. 30 on the road against the Houston Rockets, before returning to Time Warner Cable Arena on Friday, Nov. 1 to face the Cleveland Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. in their Home Opener. After playing three of their first four games on the road, the team will conclude the season’s opening month with nine of its next 13 contests at home. During that stretch, the Bobcats will face Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks in a Friday, Nov. 8 matchup that is scheduled to air on NBA TV; reigning league MVP LeBron James and the defending NBA Champion Miami Heat on Saturday, Nov. 16; and the new-look Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday, Nov. 20.

The 82-game slate features 19 weekend home dates, including 10 on Fridays and nine on Saturdays. The Bobcats are scheduled to make two appearances on NBA TV, when they host the Knicks on Friday, Nov. 8 and the Chicago Bulls on Saturday, Jan. 25

In addition to their November contests, the Knicks will make a second visit to Charlotte on Tuesday, Jan. 14, while the Heat will come back to Time Warner Cable Arena on Saturday, Jan. 18 and the Nets will return to Charlotte on Wednesday, March 26.

Western Conference teams making only one appearance at Time Warner Cable Arena this season include Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors on Monday, Dec. 9; Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday, Dec. 14; Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday, Dec. 27; Chris Paul and the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday, Jan. 22; Tim Duncan and the defending Western Conference Champion San Antonio Spurs on Saturday, Feb. 8; and Dwight Howard and the Houston Rockets on Monday, March 24.

All Bobcats home games will begin at 7:00 p.m., with the exception of the 2:00 p.m. Martin Luther King Day contest against the Toronto Raptors on Monday, Jan. 20 and the regular-season finale on Wednesday, April 16 against the Chicago Bulls, which will start at 8:00 p.m.

The Bobcats this week launched the Pick 20 Plan, which allows fans to purchase tickets to the Home Opener against Cleveland and 19 additional games of their choosing, with prices starting at less than $10 per game. As with full season tickets, fans with the Pick 20 Plan will have the opportunity to keep those seats for the 2014-15 season when the Hornets name returns to Charlotte. Season tickets and Pick 20 Plans are available by calling (704) 688-8000 or visiting bobcats.com.

no national tv appearances other than vs Knicks at home on Fri Nov 8 and vs Bulls at home on Sat. Jan 25.  All Home games at 7pm except the MLK day game at 2pm and closing night at 8pm.  No respect in the schedule making despite our improvements.   We always seem to be at home closing night though.

We'll get some nationally televised games in the playoffs. ;)

get ready--

i just did a quick W-L going down the list and have us going 43-39

i then factored in the "homer-rule" and flip-flopped 10 wins for losses and came up with a 33-49 record

that is improving +12 wins from last year.. reasonable??

this would result with us picking  around the #10 - #11 in the lottery

30 wins or so certainly isn't unreasonable to think about. I hope that we only win 30 or less games and have good luck in the lottery, though, because I do not want to be a treadmill team. However I do want us to show major improvement this season (especially MKG and Biz), and build upon that while adding a top player from the 2014 draft. Pretty much my dream scenario.

    • You bring up a good point on the stability part and i would agree that probably will factor into it. But yes, Tepper does have a strong influence on who stays/goes but I still believe ultimately it'is Morgan, Tilis and Canales who will decide.
    • I can always count on yout to put things so delicately lol. I'm still not sold on the fact that Tepper will make them keep him if they don't see him as a long term answer.
    • holy poo... this thread inspired me to keep trying to guess passwords to various alts I've created over the years and I finally got in! I pretty much accepted my fate as a lurker for the last several months because I could not remember my password. I didn't realize that new users couldn't join either, that explains things. I have been around for years under several different monikers, through the good and bad. I too always find myself coming back here even with all of the new social media options for Panther fan engagement. It's simply nostalgic.   I do get extremely annoyed with the same 5-10 posters shitting on Bryce and complaining about everything. It's unfortunate that half of them are mods and that nobody new can join because now I pretty much just come on here and see Bryce / Panther slander. There is barely any positivity to be had. We all watch this team and hang on this forum for entertainment purposes only. We have no control or say in anything. I used to be such a crazy ass fan that would argue with strangers about Cam newton on the internet and at games. Now, as a father of 3, a business owner and someone with way gnarlier life problems - I like to watch football and talk about football as an escape. Not to bitch more. I really like the direction of the team and will root anyone in a Panthers jersey. I live down the street from the Rams practice facility, Matthew Stafford is currently coaching his daughters flag football team in the same program I coach my sons. I have two highly ranked Rams staff members sons on my team. The way we beat them and had them on the ropes in the playoffs has me feeling amazing, and you would think we have the next great thing in Bryce with the way they all speak of him. I'm gonna ride that high and be a delusional fan, I hope that huddle can stick around or get fixed and perhaps I will get back to posting more now that I can log in again. I will do my best to not get banned. Keep Pounding!
