Training Camp

Disinfranchised

Recommended Posts

I drove down from the Triangle last Monday.

It was hot as poo, I should have brought more water and Cam barely got any snaps.

I'd still do it again. Spartanburg seemed kinda small with not much around though.

If you are going to stay for a night or two you got to stay in Greenville. Alot to do here Spartanburg sucks!

i have gone every year for the past 8 years, about a 4 and half hour drive. usually stay 4 days, staying in spartanburg. a trip to the BMW plant is always cool. this is the first year i have forgone autographs. i got tired of players looking like was a dealer or something. truth is, i have never and wont sell anything i have gotten signed. besides how many times do i need jordan gross' autograph? i was able to get cam's once and consider that the biggest score of all my trips as he is a hard get, rookie year too!. i am an avid photographer, so my trips now consist of me shooting the team/players (they showed me on the fenceline shooting on last weeks episode of the panther huddle). its a good time to just get away, relax, watch the guys get ready for the season and most importantly have fun. glad you enjoyed it and had some success with the autographs. it was nice not be lugging anything around other than my camera. in that heat, the less to carry the better.

    • If expansion happens it will be in North America. But by how many and suitable cities and markets would be challenges to overcome, among others.  I do think at some point there could be a European league again, but not an NFL Europe-based division. The single games are proven money-makers without having to commit to a team.
    • If he’s fired, he might be our new DC. I always liked his defense in the past, a lot more aggressive than what we currently have. What’s everyones take on him as a potential DC for us?
    • I think that depends on whether you think he's done developing. If he continues to improve as he has over the last year and a half for another season or two (especially with his deep passing) we'll really have something. I know there are questions about how high his ceiling actually is, which I think is the real foundation of the debate about him, but at this point I don't think it matters much because we're not moving on from him for at least another season and likely another 2 seasons. So wherever side of the debate people are on we all might as well sit back, root for the guy and hope for the best.
