Could Gettis challenge Lafell?

I don't think you are being realistic. Gettis has size and track speed and runs good routes. If he can show solid hands Rivera won't have a choice but to play him.

He certainly has the tools to be a good number 2. He just has to prove it on the field.

Gettis runs good routes. Good hands. Bigger. Faster

 

 

LaFell has a better range than Gettis for starters. He can catch at any level and while I love me some Gettis. . he cant do that like LaFell does. LaFell will do that with someones fingers in his nostrils picking out nuggets. LaFell also blocks better than Gettis. They accelerate and run routes about the same but Gettis has a higher top speed and is slightly larger.

Ive seen Gettis makes catches at every level. 

 

Cant comment on the blocking as I havent paid attention. With Gettis's size i see not reason he cant be a good blocker.

Right now Lafell is better then Gettis he's played more & had he chance to work on his game. Early in their careers Gettis was better & has more upside. It's a good problem to have, but a course lafell is better overall he's played more.

You cant say that because you havent seen what Gettis can do. Just because he sat out a year or 2 doesnt automatically elevate Lafell. Lafell has improved, but so could have Gettis. 

 

We wont know until after the season starts. And thats IF Gettis gets enough burn.

Tell me which catches he made today where he caught something at the top of its peak. How often does Gettis do that?

 

He's great man I love him but he doesnt make acrobatic catches like LaFell. When I say every level I mean, beyond short intermediate and long range throws. Im talking about the positioning of the ball in the air as well. . . and most importantly, LaFell can make those catches with contact. . one handed.

All around he is better right now he knows the offense more. Has a relationship with cam better at blocking. I think Gettis will be better, but right now lafell would grade out better.
