The EJ Manuel pressure on Cam.

Except he's already hurt, probably won't even be their starter. Yeah the pressure is on cam to have the best first THREE seasons of a quarterback ever. Anyone who thinks Cameron Newton is why we are 13-19 the past two seasons is correct. We'd be 3-29 with out him. GET THE fug OUT OF HERE WITH EJ MANUEL BULLSHIT

Funny how you mentioned the offensive talent that the Bills have.

Now tell me about the loaded offensive talent the Panthers have.

Those huddler expecting a high scoring offense cable of moving the ball down the field consistently is in for a rude awakening.

This season is about the defense shutting our opposition down and our offense staying out of the way of the defense by not placing them bad situations.

Otherwise the Panthers are in for another long frustrating season.

Seek help.

We're all Carolina fans here but a little scouting doesn't hurt. I thought this game would have been a given for us after we face Seattle and then I saw their young talents and how they're performing. A lot of us on this board can agree we didn't see much improvements from last year in those last 2 preseason games.

So to keep a tally of all the threads on here in recent years...

Cam will feel pressure if he plays anyone in the division. (Ryan, Bree, and Freeman)

Any QB that has a similar arm strength and is hard to tackle (Rothleisburger)

The other black QB that runs and throws (Vick)

All the QB's from last year that did well (Wilson, Luck , RG3)

Any QB that does check down when the pass isn't there (Both Mannings, Brady, Wheedon, Palmer, etc.)

The other QB that looks "sulky".  (Jay Cutler)

The other Rookie starting QB that didn't suck in 2011 (Andy Dalton)

And now also anyone who looks somewhat similar to Cam in play style -----  EJ Manuel.... why not just throw Geno Smith in there as well.

So in conclusion.. Cam should be feeling pressure from every QB in some way or another.....    :phew:

When EJ breaks as many passing records as Cam, then we can talk. Right now EJ can't hold Cam's jock.

agree. But we're talking about the whole team. Aside from the QB, we might not be able to overcome their better personnel and COACHING(how can we forget that).

This dude hasn't even been name the starter yet, and here you're suggesting that Cam should follow in his footsteps. smh

What I say wouldn't matter much but the media will find anything to stick it to Cam and this might be an opportunity.

That's the way I see it too. But the media doesn't see it that way. The media also doesn't care that we're shaky at WR, OL, and secondary. If we fall 0-2(god forbid), I feel sorry for a talented player like Cam.

    • Yards a game works better over a longer period of time as well. Averages always work out over the long run. The smaller the sample size the easier it is to skew. Also opponents matter more when the size is small. Player 1 lights up 2 bad defenses in 4 starts vs Player 2 playing 10 games vs multiple defenses. It hard to make it apples to apples how it currently sits. Remember during Bryce’s little run last year how annoyed you were when people were pulling Bryce’s starts from week 9 on vs the whole season.
    • Someone else claimed I said EVERY.  Literally in my post breaking it down it gave Bryce TDs per game.   Shough however has the majority in his favor if just looking at starts. whats subjective about comp %, yards, QB ratings and turnovers?  Now I guess the argument one might make off them could be subjective.  But all I’m saying is statistically as a starter he has been better this year overall.  I don’t think Shough is great.  I think he is impressive based on the situation.  2nd rounder stepping in on a bad team.   And he like so many other QBs…..serves as little red flag going off about what we are doing here offensively.
    • Player A - 2 starts.  200 yards in each start. He averages 200 yards a game.  Player B - 1 start.  Throws for 400 yards.  Comes in another random game and has 1 pass attempt on a Hail Mary to end the game that goes incomplete.   Now given the random game he appeared for a snap, he averages 200 yards a game. Thats why you isolate starts. If you are talking starter vs someone who began as a backup.  Simple made up numbers/situations to illustrate the point.
