First cuts have begun

The 75 player roster trim is scheduled for Aug 27th. No sense keeping those 15 around for a week of practice if they are not going to be available for the last preseason game (Aug 29th). Then final cuts to 53 on Aug 31st. Probably best to cut them now and give them a chance to possibly get picked up by other teams.

And save reps for the guys we r keepn. Best for everyone. If we kno for sure who we want.

How much Madden do you play? Every decision you chime in on involves some garbage theory on why. Naka was our second best safety last night aside from Godfrey and Mitchell. Dude was everywhere on the field, while I don't like what happened last year he's got a nose for the ball that makes him better than any other back ups.

 

That would make him our 3rd best safety then, wouldn't it? :)

That alone should make him be cut lol. I don't know if I can ever forgive him for that game, a rival at that. He has to do something remarkable to get back on my good side. But its whatever with him if he makes it kudos, if he doesn't I wouldn't lose any sleep

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to be in a position to cut him but as a special teams guy he is solid. When he was in the game he was in on several tackles as well. Fact is we have no one better than him, dj Moore kicks people in preseason games and gets beat for TDs all the same.

Personally I like Mitchell but he will be the new James Harrison if he doesn't stop playing with his helmet.

I wasn't sure which safety position he played. In the context of what I said, yes he would be.

He made some great plays last year as well, they just get overshadowed by a couple of really, really, really bad ones.  He's up and down, and would make a good back up.  Who else do we have?
