They kept TWO undrafted WRs over him... I wonder why that is??? Because he couldn't catch a cold in preseason? And we should've claimed him? He's a project and shouldn't be on any teams 53.

Are u serious? Are you really telling me that this kid that played for K State can't catch to save his life? But has a history of making BIG plays at the collegiate level... All of the sudden cant catch?

AND to top that off... He was a 4th rnd draft pick this year and was projected to be a 3rd rndr... You mean to tell me that we should not have at least floated out a 7th rndr for a waiver wire pick up? I'd say that's a hell of a good value pick, and if he didn't work out we lost a 7th rndr out of it.

It's a moot point now as I think he's signed to Seattles PS because he cleared waivers. Maybe the kid is horrible because none of the other 31 teams put in a waiver for him either. At the same time I think teams are concerned with adding depth to other positions at this point and not wasting a roster spot on a rookie WR as Zod alluded to

His biggest drop of the night came on a 40-yard pass from Jackson. Yes, the throw from T-Jax was late, but it was right on the money in the end zone. Harper had no business letting the ball squirt through his hands the way it did. In hindsight, if he made the catch, his chances of making the 53-man roster would go up tenfold.

Harper did a nice job of separating himself from Oakland’s defenders, and the ball was dropped in beautifully over the top. Instead of trying to catch the ball with his hands, the 234-pound pass-catcher made the colossal mistake of trying to trap the ball against his body.

That attempt right there summed up his preseason in one play.

Prior to the draft, Harper was viewed as one of the most sure-handed receivers in college football. During his senior season at Kansas State, he managed to finish the 2012 season with the seventh-best drop rate in the country, according to John Pollard of Stats.com. On 94 targets, he only dropped a pass 3.3 percent of the time.

2) the waivers don't work that way. If you want to trade for a player, you do it before he's waived. Once he hits waivers no picks are involved.

And BTW it speakes volumes that 1) seattle kept two undrafted WRs over their 4th rnder. 2) cut their 4th rnder. 3) nobody claimed said player.
