"Man, but we played good enough to win"......

This is a conversation that I started with my wife; "Man, but we played good enough to win"......

Then I realized that I had started the same conversation several times last season and just quit talking and started laughing..

Until this team (and coach) LEARNS to put their feet on an opponents neck and a squeeze, well, I don't have much belief that this team has the guts or heart to take it all the way.....

Good enough is always the excuse for those who didn't... We have to get our crap together, and very soon.................

But I believe Smith, I think this team has it, I just think maybe the biggest problem is to get them to believe it!

...................With this-- I expect a blow out next week..... I don't think the Bills are even remotely capable of handling this team.

Panthers Defense can put up overall good numbers, but always seem to have a way of letting leads slip late in games or when it counts.

Today's game was a mixed bag. On one hand Seattle's supposed to be a very good team, and the Panthers played them close and only held them to 12 pt.

On the other hand, Seattle may be way overrated, had many injuries, and is usually poor on the road playing 1 pm EST games, and the Panthers let them escape again. SMH

Of course, this one loss,  won't/can't stop the Panthers from making the playoffs. But it sure gives you a weak feeling, thinking you've seen this movie before, wondering if it won't end well.

Let's hope not.

    • You would hope so. I’m confused why the sports world seems split on Bryce when he’s obviously not working out.
    • So let’s do the reverse? Make everyone agree everything he does is a disaster? I also think the whole “gaslighting” is on the eye of the beholder. It went from he can’t avoid one single sack countered with he actually did that well Sunday (with data backing it) to a little breakdown of why he is so bad. People are going to have different opinions. I’m also not going to pretend this wasn’t happening Day one with this little QB.
    • All this great stuff he has done, how often does he do it?  I have it at three or four games out of 14 where he was very good and then you get a drive here or a series there where there are some good things. Here is the gaslight part: everyone has put him on a curve with his first year the baseline, neglecting to understand how bad he was then. Even if he comes back twice as good, where does that really leave him? 25th ranked or thereabouts.     He had so far to go, and still does, it is a Major ‘settle’ to accept his play as worthy of giving him our future.  You want to settle when the Bucs have Mayfield, and the Saints have overtaken us at QB? We will be third in the division at QB. That is good enough for y’all?
