There is no such thing as a natural LG. A guard is a guard and a tackle is a tackle.

Not true at all. Your LT is more of your athletic tackles, who excels in pass blocking and moving his feet. Your RT is your mauler, meant to push people back off the line. More physicality and less pass protection.

Still not sold on Scott, though he did do well last week. I'd be pretty happy with Gross, Silatolu, Kalil, Wharton, Bell as our O-Line though, at least in terms of the guards. I wonder how long it'll take Wharton to get back into shape though. I remember on This is Gross, Jordan calling him soft when he came back.

I don't think that line is as bad as some are making it out to be. Definitely not where any of us would prefer it but I think an in shape Wharton at RT and we can win alot of games with that line...IMHO

I know Seattle was undermaned but I'm really not as worried about the o-line as everyone made it seem. I'm a bit more concerned with our secondary.

Holy moly, who is going to pass block? That right side is pretty scary. Wear your fast shoes Cam.

 

 

This is going to be a good O-line IMO  I'm betting that Cam's going to have good pocket in the middle with Amini-Kalil-Scott who are going to face a pretty strong NT. Going with 2 guards that are good against the bull rush  & are able to run block will help us have a balance attack with some play action and 2 TE set.

I have high hopes for this game. I hope that we don't play not to lose and play to win. I like what I saw from our defense, eventhough we gave up over 300 yards passing.
