Cam on the cover of ESPN the Mag

The article also addresses Newton’s aloofness at the Panthers’ facility, claiming he lifted weights by himself in a separate room his first two years. According to the ESPN the Magazine piece, linebacker Thomas Davis approached Newton in the room during voluntary workouts last spring, and – within earshot of teammates – asked if he was going to lift with them.

interesting....

That's actually really interesting. Does the article cite the source of that Davis comment by chance?

Disingenuous...of course that would be the stance in ESPN the Rag.

Now that I think about it, this could line up with the incident in the preseason when TD came over to Cam when he was posing for the camera and told him to knock it off.  TD no like Cam??

    • It's definitely a historical issue at QB but to be perfectly blunt, we also don't do a good job of really developing almost any position if you look at the last decade or so. I tend to be on the side of that being far less a development issue than an evaluation deficiency.  I think we are in the situation at QB2/3 recently due to the overall roster being absolutely abhorrent and the QB classes being quite thin. It is harder to justify another Matt Corral(or several) when you can potentially get a real two deep contributor at other positions.  But, it was a lot of hard work to get to the point where are roster is so incredibly bad that luxury picks literally are not in our vocabulary.  This is the reaping what you sow portion of our history.
    • That is what I meant about our front office. They are like someone filling out a March Madness bracket based on preference of uniform colors and mascots. There's no rhyme of reason to some of these fugg'n mind numbing decisions they make.  They go all in on these flimsy-@ss prospects and are gun shy when it comes to more solid prospects.  It's literally maddening and the reason I stopped being so emotionally involved in this team. Heck the only reason I'm active on the board today is one, it's my day off and two, it's cut down time.
