Pink Not My Favorite Color

Disinfranchised

Its not about the fuging pink. If you ever had or known somebody with cancer you wouldn't write bs like that. Don't like pink? turn your fuging tv off.

Ditto!!! I lost my mom to cancer. If you have to watch what all they go through you wouldn't wish it on your worst enemy. It raises awareness and money. Enough said!!!

They should take the money spent on pink gloves, shoes, socks, towels, arm bands, field paint, hats, flags, shirts, ties, pens, network graphics, and toilet paper and donate it to the cause. That'd be a lot of money there.

or they can stop making money off the uninformed and actually use the "already" cure... http://patft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO2&Sect2=HITOFF&p=1&u=%2Fnetahtml%2FPTO%2Fsearch-bool.html&r=2&f=G&l=50&co1=AND&d=PTXT&s1=6485755&OS=6485755&RS=6485755

Another side to this debate is that I use Sunday afternoons to act like the 6 year old man child that I am.  I don't like being reminded about a hurtful destructive disease during the 4 hours that I'm actively seeking to ignore reality.  I'll be an adult for the other 164 hours in the week - and almost all of the offseason, I promise.

Its difficult to be suitably sensitive to breast cancer when I'm screaming at the TV and throwing back beers like water.  I'm pretty much not sensitive to anyone or anything by the 3rd quarter.

If you are not aware of breast cancer by now then you have been living under a rock for the last 10 years.  Also I don't buy the heartfelt highlight story of the woman that survived breast cancer because she watched a football game with her husband.  That smells like a Jessica Lynch marketing idea.

And you can't get to be my age without having been personally affected by breast cancer at some point in your life, so save that logic for someone else.

As a biomedical researcher myself (congenital heart disease, not cancer) I know how hard it is to find funding (specifically NIH) for research to improve prevention, develop early detection methods, and to come up with new treatments for individuals that are in danger of, or already having, devastating diseases. ANYTHING (and that includes pink whistles, flags, and cleats) that increases awareness and generates additional funds to support these efforts has my full support.
