Recommended Posts

What: Carolina Hurricanes @ Washington Capitals

Where Verizon Center, Washington D.C.

When 7:00 P.M.

TV SportsSouth (TWC: SD- 521, HD- 1521) (DirectTV: 647/647-1)

The Hurricanes are back at it tonight, playing against the Capitals at the Verizon Center.

The Canes are already in a familiar place as they currently are 8th in the Eastern Conference. A win tonight is vital to getting back on track and maintaining pace with the Pittsburgh Penguins in the Metropolitan division.

Khudobin is back in net, but other than that; Muller said the lines (for the most part) will remain the same. However he may go with seven defenseman tonight meaning Mike Komisarek will get his first action of the season.

As of right now, the lines are as following...

Jiri Tlusty - Eric Staal - Alexander Semin

Nathan Gerbe - Jordan Staal - Patrick Dwyer

Jeff Skinner - Riley Nash - Radek Dvorak

Drayson Bowman - Elias Lindholm - Brett Sutter

Justin Faulk - Andrej Sekera

Ron Hainsey - Brett Bellemore

Ryan Murphy - Jay Harrison

Anton Khudobin

Cam Ward

Extras: Mike Komisarek, Kevin Westgarth

Injured: Tuomo Ruutu, Tim Gleason, Joni Pitkanen

Go Canes!!!

    • Those TDs passes you saw Sunday is what I think you will see bryce at his best. Those touch passes he can lob to receivers over the defenders heads. Long as receivers can get significant separation and bryce does overthrow those passes which we seem him do a lot. He is never gonna be a guy that can throw a laser into a receivers chest with a defender draped on him downfield unless its short pass or within a couple feet from the endzone.
    • If teams play us honestly and take that deep stuff away we may be able to operate good enough underneath to counter that. It is about time we started trying to force them to respect it.    But I think people should enjoy the win for two weeks because what’s in front of us doesn’t scream playoffs to me. It would be shocking if we swept TB. They aren’t Atlanta.  And even if we sweep there can be no let down.    I saw the stat of our record coming off a loss. Pretty good. What would it be coming off a win lol? Without looking, it has to at least be pretty upside down  (I count it to be 2-4).
    • Win the division from Bucs........BY implodes in the playoff worse than Delhomme and we finally get rid of BY as our QB. Get ready for 2026 with momentum for once.
