Kubiak down

He's an nfl coach - he's always under a lot of pressure.

These guys work 18 hr days 5 or 6 days a week and have hundreds of thousands or millions of people watching their every move and critiquing it when they screw up. I'm surprised we don't see more of this in the coaching ranks honestly. College coaching isn't any easier or less demanding

U are indeed right.

I guess I am comparing this season to the past two where the Texans were on top of their game. This season has been a struggle.

I love the "it's only precautionary" routine.

Not it's not, it's because you collapsed on the field! Save me the PR song and dance.

Hopefully he's ok, with the news his pulse was fine my mind quickly leaned towards stroke, hopefully something minor like a TIA. Best of luck for him. That's 2 HC's in as many days.

I think we will get confirmation later that this is what happened. All of this "precautionary" stuff is downplaying the situation. Same thing with fox. I suppose they are doing it this way so as not to alarm anyone - but these are both pretty serious cases.

You could see the pain in his face. That is not your normal passing out. It looked like someone having a heart attack but I guess we will find out soon enough. If there was a positive, it would be that it happened while he was seconds from medical personnel.

I remember hearing something years ago about how Dom Capers rarely saw his family and would work late into the night, never taking a break.

The stress of head coaching in the NFL has to be tremendous.

I agree with Cris Collinsworth tonight who suggested that the NFL have hours of operation and force coaches to go home early. I know some would abuse it and work regardless, but then maybe the NFL could fine them.

no.

thread developed into a general thread about the health pressures facing NFL coaches, including Rivera,  it is now Panther related for at least the duration of the game and story about Kubiak status
