Josh McCown vs Derek Anderson

Has both made Pro-Bowl if not I go with Anderson.  Think he got bum deal on the laughing deal any way.  Enough said We got 1 of the best back ups in league.  Sure hope we don't need him.

Cam likes Derek, that's all I care about. If Cam goes down I don't think it matters.

McCown played pretty well last night in relief of an injured Jay Cutler.

Smitty made reference to him on radio yesterday as well, pointing out to the guys on The Drive that "White Chocolate" would be starting.

So, if you had a choice at backup QB next season, would you want to stick with Derek Anderson or would you be interested in giving Drago another shot?

 

Yep, he was impressive. Then again, both teams were playing with back-up QBs. Don't know if he played better because the other QB wasn't that great or that he is good. But the guy have some serious mobility in him. I was impressed.

How many teams have a former Pro Bowler as their backup?  Michael Vick doesn't count.  Would you rather have Matt Moore as the backup?  I'd rather have Anderson.  Even if it was only for one season, he did lead a team to a winning record.  McCown has never done that.  Most backups in the league haven't done that.  Just good to have a guy that has the experience to step in and win on a long term basis because you never know when the injury bug will bite.  Just look around the league...we won't escape it forever.

I think they are both solid back ups. According to that game McGown looked like he held the team together alright and could put together drives. I know DA is a big sturdy guy and has a arm. Im just glad we do have someone behind our #1

One thing for certain: I'd be willing to bet Chudzinski wishes he'd tried a little harder to get Anderson this past offseason.

Makes me wonder if he'll try this coming offseason.
