Jim Harbaugh on Kuechly, Cam and his large 14 month old son

This is a great read. It's the transcript from Harbaugh meeting with the San Fran media. Funny how Harbaugh seems annoyed at some of the questions.

On Carolina's defense:

"The linebackers and the defensive line. I think this is the best defensive line we'll play. The linebacking crew is outstanding, great talent, play very hard, and a really smart group, they play well together. The secondary's very physical, cover extremely well. All-in-all this is a formidable defense and we understand the task that's in front of us this week."

On recruiting Luke while at Stanford:

"I thought it went really well. Sat in the home visit in the living room there in Cincinnati with the Kuechly's and felt confident and sure that Luke would be a Stanford man. And walked out of the living room that night feeling pretty darn good about it and got the tragic news the following week that he was going to Boston College."

When Cam was coming out if college, Harbaugh described him as "plutonium grade raw material". What did he mean by that?

"It's just, uniquely talented. My son, Jack Harbaugh, who's now a little over 14 months old, I mean, on the curve he's outside of the 100 percentile now. Above, he's above the 100 percentile. He's big, he's big, growing very well. Yeah, Cam Newton would be further outside the graph. He's in a world by himself. He's tremendously talented."

Lol wut

Overall some good insight from a great football mind. http://www.ninersnation.com/2013/11/6/5074906/jim-harbaugh-transcript-quinton-patton-aldon-smith-cam-newton

    • One of the worst teams, no first, bad HC, no QB, backup QB taking up a huge chunk of salary cap. Would hate to be them
    • Was just thinking about it, and the game Bryce just had was probably the absolute worst thing that could have happened for our chances in this upcoming game. We beat the Packers for the same reason we lost to the Saints.  We didn't take the Saints seriously while looking ahead to the Falcons during the week and they took advantage of it, just as the Packers didn't take us seriously while looking ahead to the Eagles and we took advantage of it. Bryce having that game just now put the 49ers on full alert this week in practice, combined with a MNF game where they don't want to get embarrassed by losing to the Panthers on that stage, and I think we're getting their absolute best this week.  It also doesn't help that the 49ers next 2 games are the Browns and Titans, so they certainly aren't looking ahead in their schedule this week.
    • Tarheels pretty sloppy vs Navy tonight.  Duke gets Kansas with them missing maybe the player in college basketball.  Naturally
