Tale of Two Halves

stirs

Recommended Posts

I was very worried about this game all week long. The win on a big stage, short week, etc.

First half was exactly what I feared the most.

Second half actually tells me a lot about this team.  They seemed to snap out of their funk, held Miami to no points while scoring a couple TD's themselves.

I remember hearing a coach talk about championships and he said they won't all be blowouts, you need to win one or two that you shouldn't have.  Today, we gutted one out.  We WERE Miami the last few seasons, today, we turned a corner.

Hats off to our team who performed nowhere close to their potential, but learned how to win anyway.

Hopes high for the remainder of the season.

I did not get into the details of the game, but yeah, giving up the two bombs in the first half was very concerning just like our O not performing at all, but in the end, we found a way, on the last drive to take the game.  For a very young team, a mature, vet type victory.

Good teams find a way to win man, it is something we were lack the previous 2 years.

This year it's different, we hang in there for the whole game and win games even if we aren't playing at our best.

I'm so stoked for another off season or 2 with this FO.

    • Seeing as how big brother Bryce hater immediately slid in to wax poetic about "waiting and seeing" (after spending the entire offseason doing the opposite), I've got a feeling we’ll be hearing the same old gospel soon: Tampa is the clear division favorite Bryce has size limitations And of course: "They gave up too much for him, so he must throw for 300+ every game or it wasn’t worth it" I've developed a bit more of an exotic palate than some, though--so while some might fear the taste of crow, I've grown rather fond of it over the years. Hopefully I'll be having a nibble after listening, but I've got a feeling they'll have more salt in their diet than I will crow... 😉
    • I would love to see Ryabkin make the big squad. He's that sandpaper we've been missing. If Aho is 250 grit and Carrier is 80 grit, this dude is that rough 5 grit that'll take your fingerprints off... Also...
