There wasn't anything "assholiness" about what either of them did. It's called not showing your hands until you have too. It's not like they put Romo's life in danger.

C'mon, the only 2 people on the planet who didn't know Romo was done were Jones and Garrett?

 

It might have worked had not every credible NFL reporter in the country reported Romo's demise hours before Garrett's denial presser. It was pretty embarrassing for the Cowboys and nowhere was it more painfully obvious than seeing Garrett standing there with his dick in his hand at the presser.
