OT prospect for the 1st round

I'd die happy with either Benjamin or Kouandjio at that spot. Hell that kid from Auburn at LT is pretty good too.

But i think Greg Robinson will be the 2nd OT off the board. If he plays well Monday, itll be a done deal.

I would love to have a choice between Benjamin and Kouandijo. That would be a great situation to be in.

There are certainly some good guys as OT's and WR's which are our biggest need.

 

CB's are a bit weak as a class in my opinion, so I hope we don't reach

Kouandjio is still 50/50 on the draft right now. Last night could force him to return. But, Im crossing my fingers on the chance to grab that boy in the late 1st. I hope his stock keeps dropping along with Lewan.

What do you guys think about taking Cedric Ogbuehi in the late 1st if Lewan and Kouandjio are not there?

 

It looks like his stock is rising a bit. CBS has him ahead of Lewan and Richardson right now.

 

Ogbuehi is damn good in pass blocking but I just cant find enough highlights of him in the run block. I dont know what to make of my conclusion of him right now.

If we draft Kouandjio, we'd better be prepared to make him a guard after his utter failure at OT... because that big dude has feet as slow as Bell.

You do realize bad games happen, right?

Cyrus has been a great Tackle. Lewan and Matthews have had better seasons but anyone who passes on Kouandjio because he had one bad game is insane.

 

 

I've seen pretty much every game he's played in the past two year.  I saw him in person this year. 

 

He's SLOW.

 

He dominates when you come within his arm-span and allow him to get control.  Then he will control you and KILL YOU.  The SEC refs have also allowed him all year to use direct blow/swing to the head on many of the edge-rushers he's faced this year and the NFL refs will NOT allow him to do that.

 

If he doesn't "get control" though, he's done.  He doesn't slide and move very well.  He has very slow feet and is vulnerable to speed rushers all the time.  

 

The NFL is *full* of elite speed rushers.

 

Even though we didn't, I was excited about drafting any of the Bama o-linemen available in last years draft (though we didn't), so its not a team thing.  What it is is that the Kouandjio kid is over-rated and not worth a 1st round choice because he WILL be a development project.  We don't have the luxury of drafting development projects with 1st round choices right now.  We need a STARTER on offense to come from that pick.

I would still like kouandijo at the bottom of the first, can't teach physical ability which hes got loads of. Well see if he declares though, performance like that might make someone go back to school

Plus his former teammate dj fluker had some of the same flaws coming out of school and he's played really well for the chargers
