Cam and the boys better be ready to come play.

How could anyone "expect" the Panthers to lose at this point? After all this team has been through this year and the way we've won games I just don't see how one could justify Carolina losing at home next Sunday. It's not so much that I believe they will win flat out, I just don't see us losing, if you know what I mean. It's fine to be nervous, its the playoffs, hell I've been nervous every single game this year.

Yea and I have friends who are Bengals fans who thought the same thing heading into today... "We handled them in San Diego.... we will do even better today in the playoffs"

But I know how the NFL works. And I want no part of a re-match with San Fran trust me. You shouldn't either.

I will be. believe me. and I won't sleep saturday night heading into Sunday morning regardless of who we are playing.

i just think its really sad man with everything we've been through the past 5 years and with the passion and emotion our boys are playing with this year i just dont see how you can sit there and undermine them like that....like they play their hearts out week in and week out and for people who claim to be fans to sit there and say that is just really disappointing i dont expect them to go 16-0 every year thats dumb but im not gonna sit here and say well its over if we play so and so...thats not right and if you feel that way you should keep it to yourself is all im saying...we're trying to grow and expand our fanbase...we dont need stuff like that

I mean its just what I see coming down the line it isn't the gospel. People are wrong all the time. It shouldn't detour anyone from becoming a fan of our team, only winning and playing on the national stage can help that.

i don't think you understand the meaning of the word faith.

It's not something you force.  It either is or isn't.  You don't choose to have faith.  You also don't choose to not have faith.

What are you exactly trying to argue with me here?

Go back and read my post who the hell was talking about forcing someone to have faith?

I remember what I replied to.

do you?

You have to have faith in your team otherwise what is the point?

you phrase it like faith is a choice.  that is dumb.  it goes against the very definition of the word.  one either has faith or one does not have faith.  its not an action that you can will one way or the other.

if you are going to bust on fans for their opinions, even the ones who repeatedly make fools of themselves, you should keep your own poo together in the process

    • I probably would have become a casual Hornets fan if Cooper ended up there, but the NBA just solidified my apathy for its product. Hornets also got shafted when Lakers got cold feet on the Mark Williams trade. NBA is corrupt and that alien-headed Silver is the kingpin.
    • Most analysts from what I've seen are projecting next year's cap as closer to $298M but as high as in the low 300s. We saw a $24M increase this season, $31M increase last season, and $16M prior to that. There's also the inevitable cap casualties... A'Shawn Robinson being cut saves the team $8.5M. Damien Lewis would save $9M. BB3, Jewell, PJ2 all would save $5M each. Tremble and Mike Jackson could save $4M each. It wouldn't surprise me to see the team make a few moves that end up giving them closer to $50M in cap space to start 2026. I'm less worried about next year's cap space due to the upcoming UFAs for the team: TMo, AT, Tuttle, Wonnum, Nijman, Mays, Corbett, BC, Dowdle, Rozeboom, Martin, Rhattigan, Jansen, Scott... the only FAs I'm seeing on Spotrac outside of TMo that are must keeps are ERFAs Coker + Demani (so long as TMo's knee is fine, of course). 2027 on the other hand is going to be the offseason for Bryce's bonus option with Icky being the most significant UFA. PJ2, A'Shawn, Josey, MJackson, Tremble, Dalton, DJ Johnson, Zavala, and Bartholomew are the only other current FAs then. I'm of the opinion that they are all in on next season and if it doesn't go well, it's being blown up and starting from scratch. They're currently estimated to have $130M in free cap space in 2027.
