Was looking around today and saw this article.  As we all know, statistics are like puppets, we can make them say whatever we want, but this one was kinda interesting.  The Panthers are 0-3 when Cam is sacked 5+ times and they are 12-1 when its less than 4.

I think this is gonna be huge this weekend and could play a huge factor in whether we win or lose.  I think we need to score at least 24 points to have a great chance to win and keeping cam upright will help tremendously.  But it's not just about keeping Cam from being sacked but its also about Cam recognizing when nothing is there and pulling it down to run.  Many times this year we have seen Cam waiting for what seems like an eternity for his mediocre receivers to get open.  Cam needs to take off and get whatever he can and avoid taking drive killing sacks.

An article I saw not too long ago detailed a hypothesis to why Cam's rating differed so greatly at home and on the road.  It came down to sacks.  Who is responsible for sacks?  Well, a lot has to do with the o-line.  Our worst games, Buffalo and Arizona especially came on the road.  Our line seems to hold up much better at home.

We're home... with Smitty trolling, and with the Mills family pounding the drum, I don't think San Fran has a clue to what they're about to waltz into.

I would imagine most teams are winless when their QB is sacked 5+ times.

This is true...like I said, stats can say whatever you want.  But I do think its relative to our team and the success of the offense. If Cam is harassed and takes a lot of sacks the offense wont be able to overcome that.  But I'm sure that's true with a lot of teams.
