Crabtree really is a sucka!

Where you been? White people don't throw fits. They show passion.

Priceless.  Such a laconic but erudite statement.  It's funny how these people give their agenda away by who they give "a pass" to.  I didn't see anybody mention how the supreme example of Sportsmanship (i.e. the white way errrr I mean right way of doing things) Tom Brady went studs up on Ed Reed last year during the playoffs.  Brady was seconds away from damaging Reed for life for what amounts to no reason.  But yeah, he is an excellent sportsman and all that.

I didn't know Sherman was wired in the NFC showdown... this video proves the media is hyping him to be a degenerate when he's clearly the best at his position. its funny how they try to make you look crazy yet let the crazy get away with being disrespectful. it was absolutely nothing wrong with what Sherman did after deflecting the ball or even post game. Crabtree is a reflection of his qb and the sf haters. Props to Sherman.

This whole isn is more about the media and less about either of those two. This saga is only still being played out because folks are bored with themselves and won't stay off twitter. Plus, it's clear those in the media wanted the 49ers to win.

Once again they are creating distraction because they don't want to give much attention to the Seahawks. This whole week the conversation was either about the "greatness" that is Peyton Manning or the Sherman and Crabtree show.

And remember the 49ers was the same team who was allowed to get away with the same antics Sherman is being scorn for by the sports media like NFLN.

Funny...the three people you have listed there were recently listed in the top 5 of most respected players in the NFL by their peers (they could not vote for a teamate). Think they polled something like 325 players or something.

Maybe not the most scientific test but it was interesting to see even if the results weren't surprising.

Manning probably hasn't done that for a while.  I think most of those occurred when he was younger.  For that matter, I don't think many people cared much about the "idiot kicker" thing anyway because Mike Vanderjagt was, in fact, an idiot.

Brees probably still commands a lot of respect for his skills and his status as an NFLPA rep, although I wonder what people think about the fact that he tried to get special treatment for himself.  That, plus a lot of the players were kind of laissez-faire about the bounty thing.

Brady?  Again I'd say probably a lot of respect for what he's accomplished.  Still think he's a whiny little b--ch when he loses.

And mind you, Newton's not perfect.  Not every bad thing that gets said about him is someone else's fault.  I do think he's learned from his mistakes though.

I should have started I new thread about Cam Newton learning to act like he has actually been there, my mistake.  Cam is great and I wouldn't want Brady, Brees or Manning over him "right now", but acting like a high schooler scoring making the referees first down call is embarrassing.  The superman gig...I get it...he's selling himself and making endorsement money by celebrating like a WR but it is not necessary.  I think Rodgers looks like a douche with his "discount double check" celebration too.  It's not a race thing.  It's a leader and winners mentality thing.  It's the NFL, not Pro Wraslin.....it's simply tacky.

Brady throwing a fit because of a call.....I have no problem with.  Brees protecting his teammates during the bounty scandal...I have not problem with.  Why? Because their actions are for the betterment of the team.  What does pretending to be a superhero or referee do for the team?  Notta.

Back to Sherman.  He is a thug and extremely insecure because he believes that his play on the field is not enough and demands respect by smearing another player and calling him a sorry player on national TV.  Sherman will be another washed up corner in 2 years, because one thing is for sure....top CBs do not last long in the NFL.  He will be just a loud mouth in a couple years.

it's hard for me to agree with the notion of 'smearing' Michael Crabtree given that from what I've read, he's a douchebag.

(and I'm not just talking about the stuff with Sherman)

If things like celebrations by a pro athlete that you've never met bother you that much, seek help.

As for Sherman, you are way off base with the "thug" label.

Sherman is the one that sounded and looked like the douche.....Seattle won and is going to the Superbowl and this lil kid is still talking about how you shouldn't try him...he's the best....mediocre WRs...blah blah blah....he's a child who believes he has to pump himself up to be respected on the field....all he did was make people believe he really is a thug screaming like a school boy who just made a play...whooptydamndoo....that's what you get paid to do...just do it and act like it's what you are suppose to do.

I use to train and fight a bit and one thing that I found out about opponents was this....the quiet guy that goes about his business is the one you fear the most....the loud guy is rarely anywhere near as good as he thinks and once he loses his game....he is humiliated and rarely returns to his best.  Why?  Because he is not only fighting his opponent...he is fighting himself.

I get that, and I've always said if you have to tell me how good you are, you aren't.

But take a little time to look deeper at both Crabtree and Sherman, what's gone on between them and their separate histories.  You might just find that things are not quite as they seem.
