Religious persuasions aside.

The guys last name is Coots? He sounds like the Klan leader from Oh Brother Where Art Thou. "Is you is or is you ain't my constituents?!"

For some reason when I read this I heard Boyd Crowders voice from Justified.

do you believe god heals people?

There have been multiple moments in my life that have caused me to distance myself from the Christian Church, the day my overly religious brother told my Father who was dying from cancer that he had cancer because God was punishing him was one of the few serious WTF moments of my life.

that's a lame dodge. i'm obviously not asking so i can fill out a pstall chart, i'm asking you because it's relevant to the conversation, since belief in a god that actively heals at the behest of faithful christians is somewhat at odds with not being faithful because of common sense

Yes I believe God can heal. Just because we ask doesnt always mean he will. Much like as your child gets older they may say please but you as the dad may see it differently.

There is a proverb that talks about how can you avoid being burnt by scooping hot coals in your lap? Or in modern vernacular dont play with fire and you wont get burned.

Handling snakes is a bizarre and far off interpretation of a passage. Why some denominations decide to build their religion instead of oh say the two greatest commandments is beyond me.

Ah, the Bible Belt. Gotta love the Huddle.

That said, his son is taking over for his dad. Let's see how long he lasts.

Can't get the link to work but...

This coming Saturday the son will be conducting church services & he will handle the same snake that killed his dad.

    • Assuming Mann is back I’d go ahead and move Green and the first rounder from PHX for a starting center. I prefer Okogie to Green anyway.
    • Been here since the Coliseum days. Hornets were the first pro team I ever rooted for. If they're ever going to get out of the gutter they have to establish a culture. They are trying to do that. I have no idea if it will be successful but it's a start.
    • I don’t think I'd go that far but there is definitely legitimate reason to ask how much he actually values winning and being great as a basketball player. He is very easily distracted with off the court stuff. This has been a public criticism of people like LeBron James with some of the newer generations of "stars". And it is 1000% valid and needed to be said. All I can say is I hope this is the year. If it is it will be apparent fairly early on. But I get the sense if the same themes continue as the upcoming season progresses the FO could look to move him before the trade deadline. It would suck for a multitude of reasons and I don't want to see it happen but if it did it would be on LaMelo and LaMelo alone because they've given him the keys and are finally putting pieces around him. If he wants to be a great basketball player and win he will be here and do what is necessary for the team to be successful. If not well....
