JJ, I know everyone has their opinion, but I believe that G-man would lose a lot of goodwill if we ended up with this draft.  The Huddle would be in an uproar, and NFL analysts would be blasting G-man and the organization everywhere.  We would here people talking of conspiracies to screw Cam, or exclamations about not giving Cam any help.  It would be a virtual worl apocalyptic type of situation in Pantherland. 

 

BTW, I could get with the Hurst and Lyerla picks.  Verrett in the first, might make me say "fug", but I'd get over it.  Borland in the second would make me SMDH until the end of time.  People would think that I had an uncontrollable twitch or something.

Im sorry you don't like it. But Verrett would be the bpa here and I don't see why he would be such a bad pick. Also, I believe we end up with Britt, so the need for WR really diminishes here, and no need to reach for Benjamin at 28 when he will be a bust regardless.

Anyone that disses Borland has not watched any film on him, and we could use another linebacker on the outside.

Hurst and Fleming are two good tackles, so I don't see the problem in taking them in the 3rd and 4th round respectively.

Norwood and Brown are two guys we are looking at, which is why I mocked them. I don't want either of them, I was really just doing this based of the guys we looked at. Lyerla would be a great pick. Calling him the next Hernandez (A murderer?) is perhaps a bit of a stretch and pure conjecture. Teams like New England, SF, and Cincinnati pick up guys that fall off due too off the field problems/injuries and gets steals doing so (Burfict, Dennard, Blount, Lattimore, etc.)

I had a feeling people wouldn't like this because there aren't any sexy picks. But most these guys are people we already interested in. I usually due mocks based on what I think the team will do, not what I'd do lol

Signing britt doesn't elimate the need at receiver.

We have nothing but stop gaps at the receiver positon.

this draft is so very deep, recriver will be BPA at somepoint.

What the team brings in never translates to who we draft.

We looked at every receiver last year, and still didn't draft one.

Been saying that for awhile, so I'm glad to see someone else believes that also. Borland will be a stud, he had a rough combine, so he could slip to us in the 3rd. I'd be ecstatic if we got him.

He's smaller and less athletic than Luke, don't see him as a OLB and I don't really don't want to draft a back up in the 2nd. If we go LB I want a prototypical OLB to replace TD at some point.

I know how good he is I just don't think taking a LB in the second round is very smart with the LB core we already have. BPA should only be to a certain extent

I'm disappointed we'd try to make a OLB out of a ILB. I'm disappointed we'd ignore gaping holes at WR and OT in favor of a back up LB.
