Tyler Vagyler Mock Draft

The second tier WRs are way better than 2nd tier OL

We seem to have a different understanding of tiers.

1st tier - Sure fire studs, a few pro bowls, etc

2nd tier - Good - Solid starter

3rd tier - Average - slightly below average starter / journeyman

4th tier - Backup player / special teams

That doesn't change my previous statement

Um yes it does.

You said the tier 2 WRs / CBs are way better than the tier 2 OTs.

Tier 2 is talent level based across the board regardless of positions. For your statement to be right, you would have to compare tier 2 WRs / CBs to tier 3 or 4 OTs.

So again we have a different understanding of "tiers".

I don't care how you define "tiers". My point is, at pick 28 there will be more value at WR or CB than OT.

Robinson

Matthews

Lewan

Martin

Those are the only tackles I would take in the first round.

Cyrus

Moses

Richardson

Bitonio

Those are the tackles I would take in round 2. I know everyone around here has a boner for Turner but I wouldn't take him until the third when you consider what value is there at other positions. ASJ or Niklas could be there along with a handful of solid DBs (McGill, SJB, Breeland, Bailey, Bucannon etc). In this mock I was assuming that the 4 OTs above were already gone.

Watkins

Evans

Lee

Cooks

Beckham

Matthews

Benjamin

All the WRs I would take at 28. There is a chance 2-3 of those guys could be there. Meanwhile, none of my 1st round tackles will be there.

So you can define "tier" how ever you want but when you look at what will be available at our pick the most value (while going along with needs) will most likely be at WR.

Not sure if OBJ will be there at 28 anymore. His stock his rising by the sec.

Also, if Philly chooses not to go defense, I cant see Chip passing up on OBJ.

Jets, Eagles, Chiefs will all likely go WR which means Lee, OBJ, Cooks will be the best 3 available for those teams.

Something that could save us is Zack Martin dropping to the Chiefs (they lost their entire OL).

It'll be interesting to see how the WRs fall in the first round. The 3 listed above could do in any order.

True, Chiefs could go OL.

Jets will get whoever they want; maybe a TE to help open the middle.

I dont believe that the Eagles will take Lee or OBJ. I really think that we have a better shot at Lee than OBJ at 28.

I dont recall asking you if you care how I define tiers. I made an observation that we obviously view tiers differently. In which you replied or insinuated that it wasn't the case and that your statement still applied. For which I had to break it down and show you how that was not the case.

As for your "value" claim, you believe all those WRs will be sure fire studs and pro bowlers? The only sure fire studs / tier 1 WRs in this draft imo are Watkins and Evans.

All the rest have question marks and concerns which drops them to tier 2 as I see it, the same with all the tier 2 OTs.

Like I said, you obviously overvalue all those WRs and undervalue the OTs in relation to how I view them.

As for which one of us is right, we will have to bump this thread midway through next season.

This would be a great pull to put some weapons in our arsenal.

I don't know much about these Tennessee linemen but a lot of peeps keep mocking them to us.

I was thinking of doing one with 1-Amaro | 2-Matthews | 3-Latimer; no o-line help but it'd for sure put some power into this offense.

    • You have gave the board some recent gold via posting. Heres my poor attempt at the truthful play-by-play of the time during post- I pulled out the old laptop to do my shitposting and check on websites. Open the huddle and see this new thread. Open thread and read CRAs post, {inner thinking, oooOOooo this is my lane and I got this}. Make sure not to scroll even to the 2nd post. 23% of current neurons still firing start up and two names appear- Captain and Josh....... about another 43 seconds past "O GOD" it's July 4th weekend and I got medicine to pick up. (If the laptop didn't give away my aging, the meds should...) I need to split, think long panther careers and the hint-  Ryan Kalil was a late 2nd and Pro bowls(even all-pros too) he's got to be OLman and Mikie Minter is among the all-time Panthers career leaders. Drop my post. Scramble to get keys, wallet, and phone. Check my phone- its 17% battery.....fug I now have to raw dog the pickup line and put the phone on charge.... Flip flops, sweat ringed filled hat, and shades acquired. Get in my pos rav4 and think about not running the A/C. Pull out the drive way and reach the 1st stop light, A/C is wide open. I check my shirt to see if there's any new stains on my house shirt, bush off the Bojangles salt that I see.... Neurons re-fire and focus on the comments CRA made that no one would get this....... Dang IT, that means it isn't Ryan Kalil or Mike Minter! CVS is close, but I know its impossible I get back withing 10 minutes to change my post and my phone is on the charger. {Think you monkey, at one point you were a draft nerd}. Reach the CVS line, by some grace its not 5 cars deep during 5 o'clock traffic hell. Im second in line after the car in front of me both turn in, they have to go back and forth to line up while Im a pro for that geometry. Neurons finally reach peak performance as Ive re-thought draft classes. Think obscure and unknown 7th rounders with long careers. Some Sunday/Monday night member berry fell out of my Melon, Will montgomery during the players intros for washington. I thought he out of the league and was shocked to see him still playing around the 2015 years. I do a goggle background check and that refreshed memory. Pick up the meds and enjoy the sweet smelling cool CVS air. Driving back and check in on one of the local bums at the big stop light, wow he's got a new fancy rug. Think about all the old food I got and need to start giving it away and rethink it. Reach home and post a follow up and I know Minter is wrong too, I check the draft history and see Robert Mcclain. Too late, but that would have been my guess....open CRAs link and get "upset" at the DBs name.
    • THANKS my guy! Keeping up with this threads theme, if I view a thread and there's only 20 posts and some time passes. If I see there's one new post and read the name; @Dave Gettleman's Shortsis among the chosen few that I will reopen that thread just to see what you posted.    Thanks again, plus not just a scout, thats scotty mccloughans son?!?!? If not for the deep claws of booze, scotty is among the best talent finders this league has recently had. Last I heard he ran a consulting business. Caden could be one of those who's on a early path to being a GM in the future. I was a big fan of his dad, dam shame about booze demon ruining his career.
