Here are a couple options in the mid rounds if we do not draft one early.

Though very raw it seems Richardson is the more athletically gifted of the bunch according to Rang but needs to improve his technique which can be coached.

 Billy Turner OT 9 North Dakota State Sr 6-5 315 2-3 95

 Jack Mewhort OT 10 Ohio StaterSr 6-6 309 3 111

*Antonio Richardson OT 11 Tennessee Jr 6-6 336 3-4 126

*Cameron Fleming OT 12 Stanford rJr 6-5 323 4

If we don't go OT in the 1st, Mewhort is the guy I have my eye on.  He can play anywhere on the line, and would be solid at RT or LT.  I don't think he'll ever be an all-pro, but he should be a solid option if Bell can't make it at LT.  He'll probably go in the early-mid 3rd, so if we want him, we will either need to take him with #60 or trade up in the 3rd.

Personally, I actually like the idea of double dipping at WR in the 1st and 2nd, then trading up in the 3rd for Mewhort.  That way, we could get a guy like Cooks or Lee plus someone like Moncrief or Latimer while still getting a good tackle.  That would give us our likely long-term starting WR's as well as a starting tackle.  It would go a long way toward alleviating some of the concerns people have about our WR corps.

I was listening to the radio yesterday, and they cited an unnamed source who believes Kouandijo's knees only have two years in them.

How could someone say that when he had no such issues at Bama? Where was this source in September 2011 when TD tore the ACL for the 3rd time in three years? Bottom line is the guy is an absolute monster and bonafide top 10 if not top 5 overall talent. He's still only 20 years old and big picture, it's surreal we could actually get someone of his size/skill at 28. JMO.

Cyrus is def growing on me...

Cyrus/Moses in the 1st

WR 2nd (Moncrief/Matthews/BPA?)

Antonio Richardson in the 3rd

CJ Fiedorwicz TE in the 4th

I think this would be the best draft we can ask for...

SUPERBOWL!!!

Not sure if CJ Feidorwicz last to the 4th, but yeah I have a man crush on him as well...

I think that is an interesting assessment. Sounds like he is still very raw .....Do you spend your 1st pick on someone that raw when the guy from Ohio State will be there in the 3rd?  Will we be reaching to pick a OT at 28?

Lets hope GMan has the answers

KOuandjio's best year was 2012 when he had Warmack alongside him. IMO 2013 was a off year where he didn't focus or used his techniques properly which can be coached. His best attribute is run blocking and it would bring back the off tackles run for Williams &  Stewart   (Oath day's). He is 6'7" 322lbs with proportional build.

Strength :

Terrific size with long arms. Uses his length to push rushers wide -- day trip to run the arc on. Has the ability to drop anchor and stymie the bull rush. Can latch onto, control and maul his man. Can hook and seal or widen the hole in the running game. Flashes the ability to bury defenders. Will be a 21-year-old rookie and has clear potential -- is physically gifted with raw, moldable tools.

From what I have heard, his 2012 tape was great, thus his high status going into this past season.  But, his 2013 tape was not nearly as impressive.  Did he miss Warmack?  Are his knees getting worse?

You'd have to be very concerned just from the two tapes.

    • 100%. And these same people will claim you have an agenda. You can't have it every way. We had the lowest rated defense in the league last year. Statistically the worst ever. By PFF grades (for whatever that's worth- but they are readily accepted, used, and conveyed by most "reputable" sources), the defense was the worst ever. Not only that, PFF rated our receiving corp the worst in football last season. The absolute worst... out of 32 teams. Which is why regardless of the lip service Canales and Morgan paid to the current guys, they knew it would be criminal not to give Bryce more help. People fixating on team stats and not taking these things into context are stupid, plain and simple, and I'm for one thankful they're not running this team (or probably anything for that matter bc they obviously can't discern reality. Again, going back to the eyeball test these Narrative Nancies seem to hate so much, did they not see the windows Bryce was putting balls into? Have the generally not watched much NFL? Please, please show me the film where all these NFL QBs are making throws like this to this point Bryce was "below average" down the stretch compared to them. Bryce made more wow throws in that 3 game stretch of the Bucs, Chiefs, and Eagles than every other QB combined in all the years since since Cam got hurt I genuinely am baffled by people that can watch throws like that and act like it's nothing. I guarantee you Steve Spagnola, Todd Bowles, and and Vic Fangio didn't think it was nothing after watching the little guy torch them with players those teams would be embarrassed to trot out at the skill position players. The national media spent all year making excuses for Mahomes not having elite weapons when he had multiple 1st & 2nd round talents at the skill positions along with future HoFers in Kelce and Hopkins. Bryce wasn't throwing for 300 yards every week with David Moore and Adam Theilen in spite of jaw dropping throws and you want to say the guy played below average. For those people, again, we ain't watching the same sport. And the name calling doesn't change that... The vitriol and projection... it's off the effing charts with these people.
    • "Well you see if you remove this terrible game that terrible game this other terrible game and then focus on these games you'll see he's actually one of the better QB's in the league and he's actually as good as Jayden Daniels". My god this place is delusional. I love it.
