  1. Past hour
  2. Calling Ian Thomas a JAG is an insult to all the hard working JAGs out there filling their role. Ian Thomas was the type of guy who should've bounced around training camps for a couple of years after his rookie contract expired before realizing that there's just not a spot for him in the NFL. His value in the NFL should've been fighting for a bottom of the roster spot while he was dirt cheap on a rookie contract. Once he had to be paid vet min his value slid to zero.
  3. The ESPN "Future" article had an interesting take that Coker was our real #1 WR in the future.
  4. The hype on the WR corps is scary and unfair to the guys we have, IMO.
  5. I will say that the long pass to Coker was great. Perfectly placed. Which shows he can still do it ocasiónly, but maybe not consistently.
  6. It seems like Bryce has really good chemistry with Thielen, T-Mac, and Coker. Everyone else is a work in progress on that front. When you consider that Theilen is well past his prime and could very possibly be entering his final season in the NFL, there's no way in hell I'm trading Coker unless the offer was just over the top absurdly generous. Honestly, the #1 goal this season should be trying to get the answer on Bryce Young moving forward. Moving Coker for some bandaid defensive piece or future draft assets that may or may not pan out would just be wildly idiotic which gives the history of Tepper's Panthers makes it frighteningly likely. LOL
  7. take lead dogs at WR. Pittman, Nabors, and Olave. Lead dogs elsewhere got more proof in the pudding. They all got 1k WRs. And WR is going to be maybe the key area people are making a case for Carolina to be higher.
  8. Or just generally trying guys out every few weeks. Either way, tough situation. @BasbearYou still trying to trade that dude?
  9. Yep, we belong at or near the bottom of the league until we prove otherwise.
  10. I mean, when you actually start putting player vs player? I don't think it's controversial. Carolina still almost fully banking on hope that dudes pan out for a high % of the agreement here. So proven edges out potential when you start putting them head to head.
  11. Sidelined due to injury situations aside, Ian Thomas has to be the Panthers who put the most money in the bank for the least return on the field. Sean Gilbert entered my mind but he was decent, he just was nowhere near the dominant force that we invested in him to be. Ian Thomas was just an absolute waste of a roster spot and yet somehow turned that into damn near $20M. Crazy.
  12. I mean, the Colts and Giants are so unbelievably better than our roster it is rather laughable to even suggest this. New Orleans is a bad roster but still a good bottom 5 candidate. The closest is likely the Pats. But when you look at our rosters side by side, I would say we are worse overall.
  13. you better put some damn respect on Tommy Devitos name brother
  14. No way do we have the 32nd ranked roster. Not in a league where the Saints, Colts and Giants exist.
  15. Good God, we hope not. That would entail an insane contract extension and him hanging on until the end of it.
  16. I would disagree. The only real proven talent on the roster that are Lewis, Hunt, Moton, Hubbard, and D. Brown. One could argue Moehrig. The overwhelming bulk is a mix of incomplete grades, unproven talent or known weaknesses. I think when you factor in the depth after the starters, it's overwhelmingly 32nd ranked.
  17. We need Lewis back, too many presnap penalties
  18. Asked about the defense stuffing the run all practice: "Derrick Brown practiced today."
  19. If your boss is anything like mine in her 3rd trimester I would recommend keeping this to yourself and not bringing it up at all. Congratulations!
  20. Canales just declared Austin Corbett the starting center during his press conference.
  21. Wasn't Brad Hoover an UDFA? I think we could argue both sides--
