Some of you people are so weird about this stuff. Here’s an idea, why don’t you go on social media, make sure your boss sees what you say, and start trashing the company you work for. We actually need more team propagandists in the media, not less. Us being the only ones with this weird code about our former players and media members needing to not promote the team and players is how things like Derrick Brown not making the pro bowl happen.

He is a Panther employee.

True maybe, but I admittedly don't necessarily pay NFL types as much deference as others, as over the years I've seen them be wrong aplenty, so much so that perhaps I'm just jaundiced, or at least callous, to some of their proclamations. I mean, after watching the game in earnest for somewhere around a half century, admittedly the eye test seems to take on, sometimes exaggerated, importance. You do get to know a thing or two about the game over that span as well and develop some insights that younger fans may not have. Moreover, keep in mind that players, coaches and execs disagree on many things football all the time, so there's a certain amount of dart throwing that is inherent within the beast.

I mean yes. But also he’s a former pro and knows the game better than 90% of people.

He and TD are employed by the team. They are going to say what the team wants them to say.

We all choose who to listen to, but, perhaps more importantly, a number of us form opinions based upon what we see (and don't see as it were). It's not necessarily "confirmation bias," but objective analysis.
-
If everyone agrees on everything all the time in a football forum, then that should tell you something. If people have varying degrees of disagreement and are constantly going back and forth, presenting statistics, information and knowledge based upon experience and the experience of those who are NFL types, that should tell you something also. Being a fan is not necessarily just about mindless cheerleading, although some fans do that.

I sense a restructure incoming for Robert Hunt

Well you're picking and choosing which pundit to listen to. Everyone has confirmation bias

I just spit out my coffee. Holy poo.

Interesting. A HoF QB is not an authority on the position. I mean, everybody is guessing to an extent, but Kurt Warner obviously knows the intricacies of the position at all levels, as do other QBs who have played at all levels.

Get this one. Please just win this one. Florida has become my least favorite team over the rags.

The Hornets finally got a solid showing from the combo of the big three and blew out the Lakers in LA. Can't stand those MFers. That is a sight to behold. If they can ever find their footing in the consistency department maybe there is hope for the future. -
Panthers twitter in general is catered to people who are complete homers who likely never experienced the best years of this franchise. People with business relationships to the team are going to follow that model. If that's not someone's cup of tea it's best to seek other sources.

Tomlin probably wants another head coaching job, but I'd love to see Dave bring in somebody that can help him with game management. I don't mind him calling plays, and I don't mind him managing the game, but I think at times, it did get to be too much for him. If you could bring in somebody like a Mike Tomlin, compensate him well, and just let him make or help with some of those game management decisions, I think it frees Dave up to concentrate on play calling a little more.

I think both he and TD were pretty critical of the team following the 2nd Saints game, and/or the Seahawks game. They made some pretty, what seemed to me, pretty honest takes. But as many have pointed out, he’s still going to say more positive things being a team employee. the only former panther I’ve heard talk about the team that seems pretty neutral is Jake Delhomme.

Should Canalas bring someone else in to call offensive plays?

Not enough motion and play action, too much RPO -
It’s called being a homer but Kurt Warner is no authority either
-
Don't expect criticism of the team from people who still have working relationships with the organization
-
I think most former players are cheerleaders to some extent for their team. The difference seems to come if they move into some sort of tv role. You rarely hear the Fox/CBS Sunday group talking about the teams they are associated with during broadcasts. You have to be mindful a bit on Panthers reddit, because I am pretty sure there are fans that didn't know the team existed before Tepper and Young came into the picture.
-
He has said many times hes a diehard Panther fan. Being a former player he is going to be very pro player. I don't think its a conspiracy but just someone close to the individuals.
