Understand, these guys aren't idiots. Is It better to be the #13 overall pick of or the #1 overall pick? Think real hard about this and get back to me. I'm not trying to be being a smart@ss, but a realist.
-
BPA across the board. Hyperfocusing on positions for each round is a good way to have a Gettleman/Fitterer/Morgan disaster draft. Brady isn't hiring a college coach.
-
You're correct Andy and Donovan did go their 6th season together, they seem to be the exception but even so they were knocking on the Superbowl in 3 consecutive NFC championship games prior to 2004 so early success is still the norm for a HC/QB combo McDermott and Harbaugh were going against the odds this season
-
Think the raiders would be dumb enough?!?! I mean they get his QB at 1 and go from there?? Im sure they'd give him enough $$$
-
well thats the curve then- 1st- edge 2nd- OT (I've seen plenty on 10+ mocks) 3rd- LB/BPA
-
The college football to NFL jump is the biggest in all major sports. It's incredibly difficult. Especially with zero NFL experience.
-
Cignetti firing up his team by currently reminding them that ESPN sent Holly Rowe over to interview him, and Cristobal got Molly McGrath's fine ass. Disrespect for the #1 team in America is evident. Indiana by 60!
-
Edge is extremely weak this year, on paper. Very, very thin class. OT looks very good, maybe one of the deeper classes in a few years. We have to do well in the draft/offseason again or it will be a slide backwards.
-
I didn't know that either. My sources are getting weak it seems. One thing they harped on was he had his team READY. Plus he's always under talented, but magic beans or whatever he gets the wins.
-
If Indiana starts hitting beck he’ll turn into stroud

I've only started, like 4 hours in draft pool...I still have my floaties on.... Thus far, huge help for the Panthers that I feel with 80% certain, in their first three picks will be a great group of OTs and edges. LB feels good too, even if you wait like I prefer. I know this too, whatever formula/stats/guts/voodoo/pay-offs Panthers used for the 2025 drafting(plus the great UDFAS....) Just repeat that this year and I think you will land 2 starters in the first 4 picks along with decent depth. A big portion of needs/wants match this draft class. I maybe too positive tho....

Carson Young. Lol

I just hope we take OL seriously this offseason. If we don't, it might be a long ass year.
-
I’d like to draft that jack coogan OL from Indiana 3rd or 4th round hopefully he’s a mauler
-
Cignetti is too old to be an NFL coach, nor should he really bother. He probably would have been a good one but he toiled away in lower level CFB for too long to be on NFL radars. It's especially unlikely because he has never had any NFL experience of any sort.

Could Morgan be eyeing Trey Hendrickson
Soul Rebel replied to Jackson113.2's topic in Carolina Panthers
I agree that Icky’s injury has tossed a curveball at our offseason plans for sure. Knowing that Moton’s days are numbered as well only point more in that direction. I will say though, we have a combination of two second-year recent draftees and a couple of JAGs at EDGE. I think this is the prime time to balance they younger guys out with a vet EDGE vs another 1st or 2nd rounder. Same goes for TE & WR. We’ve spent the draft capital there, let’s add a young complimentary vet to these units rather than more inexperienced youth. TBH, I would throw a day 3 pick at a shifty/speedy WR in the mold of Tez Johnson or a McMillan type like Tampa has done. -
I generally always prefer the guy that has headroom, hasn’t topped out. And is younger.
-
That does feel too old for this NFL that gone pedo age levels on HC. I seen one stats and forget what division, but all HC in the playoffs were under 46 years old. Mcvay started it and it seems other teams are having the results with ultra young HC. Joe Brady maybe be a hire and I feel he's too young.
-
This QB draft looks very weak. Moore, Mestermaker and maybe Maiava are NFL caliber guys. The rest of that bunch are Day 2 to UDFA guys. Shades of 2025. Everyone claiming it to be a strong draft based on guys that returned to school in a weak QB draft. That's the draft you posted to an absolute T.
-
That guy rules in memento, the matrix and the sopranos. Pretty much everything he’s in really

The super fans I seen have been on his nuts since he drafted Josh Allen. Allen has covered up many probLems and done the most carrying on any roster. Beanie drafts have gotten worse each year and hes made terrible team killer FA moves ala Diggs and cutting him with like 50 million in dead cap. Yes injuries hit, but fans wanted Beanie to sign/draft more WRs and he didn't. Then they had terrible WRs along with injuries, thus bu-bye the best chance at SB in a down NFC year. No one is perfect and having a elite QB covers up many issues. Its 10x harder drafting 26, 55, 83 ala late each round. Its truly a different game, just think if he didn't trade for Diggs and like the Viking did draft JJ. I think they already have one SB and they would be going this year too/heavy fav.
-
If memory serves, Andy Reid went to the Superbowl in his sixth season as a head coach. And Donovan Mcnabb was in his sixth season as well. That being said, I think that is more because the vast majority of coaches don't last more than five years unless they win a superbowl. For that matter, the vast majority of NFL don't make it much past 3 years.
-
Start the damn game.
-
This is incorrect on all counts. Cignetti is 64. He will not be on almost any NFL radars. Especially considering his $12 mil/yr contract.
