  1. Past hour
  2. Probably some kind of extension news. Or Nicole Tepper visits another local business.
  3. With a ton of b*llshit about how we believe we have a cup winner already
  4. This other thing though, speaks to me. It is a guy who is fully grown and mature going against 19, 20, 21 year olds in college. He gets to the pros and almost everyone is a full grown man. Only the rookies are sometimes a bit less. He had an advantage, now he is the rookie at the NFL level. What happens then?
  5. Clear your schedule tonight https://x.com/panthers/status/2030025630616596883?s=46&t=xeIgh_-Vr2aKxBkBJdfnKA
  6. I find that after all the decades of watching including 30 years as a Panthers fan the general emotion level has for sure dropped. I am way more detached and don’t go as nuts over different things that happen in the games. More matter of fact realist when looking at the team. Not sure exactly how to describe it. What I do still have is that weird thing where I feel better when we win and just blah when we lose. I don’t have the emotional attachment to the players I used to feel though. So many years of them going “it’s a business, I have to feed my family” I guess. I mean, you are getting 10 million but need 11 because you have to feed your family? Or a better example, 48 million for 4 years but you leave because someone offers you 49? STFU.
  7. I gotta watch the pregame or first 15 of the game just to hear how Tripp & Mike spin the TDL crickets.
  8. That's not including cap accrued due LTIR Nikishin is a RFA his deal isn't breaking the bank yet. This team is gonna lose again 4-0 or 3-1 but it "will be in the second or third round" so clowns will celebrate it.
  9. 3.5 back of the 5th seed 2.5 back of the 6th seed 2 back from both Orlando and Miami in 7th and 8th. Chances of getting to the 5th or 6th seed are definitely going up.
  10. The cap will be 104m and the Canes are at 89.77m with 14.23m cap space not counting an extension for Nikishin. Only losses on the roster otherwise will be Jankowski, Deslauriers, Reilly and Andersen. Most likely why they were so hellbent on moving KK.
  11. So if Bain and Mesidor were both getting doubled teamed, who was blocking the DTs?
  12. Won't be watching I'm boycotting them until next year, I know how this season ends getting groomed by the lightning
  13. Sure after getting swept by the lightning in the east finals.... yep im out on this season i know how this story ends.
  14. I don't know, he looked good for Miami once they stopped forcing him to play DT (which was an insanely stupid thing to do). He also got stuck being doubled teamed an insane number of plays when playing DT. I understand Bain got the most attention, but Mesidor pretty much didn't get blocked 1-on-1 by anybody this season. I don't think there is any way he makes it out of the 1st (unless his medical has red flags) - too many teams picking in the bottom 12 spots want an edge that will be an impact player day 1. Mesidor has the technique and pass rush move variety to contribute day 1 (unlike some of the other edges that are freak athletes but more raw).
  15. We can still pick up somebody at the end of the season.
  16. Great no moves that matter I'm gonna pass on giving a sh*t the rest of the year this teams gonna get bodied by the lightning. Smh
  17. Nah, look at his stats (if you're not going to watch him play), he was a very good College player who exploded in a perfect scheme fit on a very talented team as a RS Senior. As a Canes fan would I take him in the first round? Absolutely not. Second round? Absolutely.
  18. What's the cap next year? Have to figure in that number as well. Regardless, the Canes left $40M on the table. And you can't take it with you into next season. I guess you have to ask yourself, which costs you more? A TDL deal in season, or a UFA deal after the season?
  19. Today
  20. I get it's disappointing, but this was definitely a seller's market and the only players traded away were players that would be depth pieces at best for us. A lot of the top teams (Avs, Stars, Lightning, Wild post Hughes) really only traded for depth pieces. Just a terrible trade deadline all around and I'm glad we didn't cave and sell the farm for somebody like Tro (even though I like him and he fits our team well).
  21. Yes the Icky thing really kills us this year with a 17.4 I think, million dollar hole, for nothing. His extension would likely have reduced his 2026 hit. But the extension was going to be massive. At the same time, the massive extension money is largely freed up now and can go elsewhere. There is just no way he should be in line for the same payday as pre injury. I say largely freed because maybe we can do a little hollowed out extension to give him a window to get back and stay with the team past this year. Snap count and/or other incentives for 2027. Something that leaves the door open for him to get a fresh contract that reflects his value moving into 2028. Whatever that proves to be. We’d have a lot of that money that was earmarked for his extension available to us starting next year.
  22. What a major letdown. This team will forever disappoint me
