  1. Past hour
  2. Let me preface this by saying I've read WalterFootball on and off for 20 years. That's an indictment on my decision-making, and it's more than fair to be questioned. However, the days of reading what's become weak ragebait have drawn to a close after he re-graded the 2025 NFL Draft's first round. He gave T-Mac a C on draft night. What was his re-grade for the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year? Carolina Panthers: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona – C Grade One-Year Grade: C+ Grade Tetairoa McMillan won Offensive Rookie of the Year, but only by default after Emeka Egbuka vanished in the second half of the season. McMillan was good, and was certainly limited by Bryce Young’s mediocrity, but there are still concerns about his work ethic and passion for football. If he doesn’t progress in the coming years, we’ll know why. Original Write-up: Wow, our Panthers source did not pan out for once. Jalon Walker was heavy chalk to go here, but the Panthers decided to draft a No. 1 receiver instead. While this fills a need, I’m concerned with Tetairoa McMillan’s work ethic, which is something you never want to hear from a first-round prospect, especially one who is chosen in the top 10. Bryce Young needs this, and McMillan is talented, but will he give 100 percent at the next level? Also, what about the defense, which was the worst in the NFL last year? https://walterfootball.com/nfldraftgrades2025.php
  3. I could get behind the Bell pick, especially if he drops to day 3 (AI has him as a round 3-5 pick, Smitty has him a lot higher). Good route tree, good size/speed, and most importantly...PRODUCTION! Same as Coker in college, all he does is make plays!
  4. if we trade down and get him in the late twenties and add another day 2 pick sign me up
  5. That too. He's already had more chances than most young QBs, but I think they're going to do anything possible to make Bryce the guy as opposed to finding another one. I hope it works, but we're 95% sure that's a square peg in round hole experiment at this point unless he has a Darnold trajectory and a killer team around him.
  6. Kaye said it in a roundabout way, but I think that having all of our offensive decision makers being former WR coaches hurts us here as well. XL - we can fix him! Tet - too good to pass up!, but, also good pick KC - hey we need that guy too to complete things! All the while, the most important and 2nd most important part of the offense (QB and OL) will get ignored. We have an aging OT, one who may never start again, and one on a one year deal. We have a pair of aging and EXPENSIVE OGs. And currently, no future at C. They're probably thinking Round 3+ on some of these guys, but ehhh dicey game to be playing for anything other than depth.
  7. Regardless, the first priority should be to protect him because we have seen what happens if they don’t. He gets a free pass. People telling me how we need weapons, I am not saying don’t get any weapons. I am saying enough with the 1st round weapons. If the QB is good and is protected, he should elevate a later round WR. The coaching staff should be able to put him in advantageous positions. And I mean how many targets are we talking about anyway? To spend a 1st round pick on a player we use on less than half the plays, or a player who will be an every down contributor? Take a guy guy later.
  8. I don't mind taking another WR in the 1st (we all know XL is a bust) but I'm not crazy about KCC as a prospect.
  9. Dont know much about the Toledo dude but grabbing a starter either at 19 or the 2nd has to be a priority. I wonder what they truly think of Ransom, can he develop or too limited
  10. XL should feel like crap. Anyone with his skills should be successful by now. Instead, we need 3 quality WRs that other teams fear. If not, TMac gets doubled. Coker? does not really run the entire route tree. We need 3...
  11. If the Oregon safety is there we shouldn’t hesitate to take him. That Toledo safety is tempting too.
  12. Today
  13. I liked him preseason, then he had a wtf season but now he is seemingly shooting up boards after interviews and workouts. The kid does have a howitzer and can move pretty well and is a huge dude. I wouldnt do 3rd maybe 4rth.
  14. Then lets split the difference and get a safety or dline (my preference). Drafting KC at 19 as a slot or #3 guy is a monumentally stupid idea and a horrible way to roster build.
  15. I would love for the fullback to become a thing again but Tremble would fill that role if it did.
  16. I must not be the only baseball fan on here. There is no proper place to put this on the sports forum so I figure I would throw this on here. Talk any and everything about the season. Go Dodgers. Ohtani is the Goat.
  17. Panthers draft Drew Allar in the 3rd round to groom him to replace Bryce.
  18. The closest thing to an offensive weapon that can run away from defenders is a 3rd year UDFA that has missed 12 games in 2 years (soft tissue injuries) and ran a 4.6 at the combine. If they aren't targeting a guy later in the draft, and KC is there in the first, then it makes sense. We can call him a 3rd WR, but he'd get plenty of touches every game on offense and special teams. Any OT at 19 will be a project that may or may not be ready by next season.
