Purdy got a five year, 50 plus million dollar per year contract. That may not be the best example to cite for your argument.
-
Fun fact for the folks that a couple of seasons ago were pounding the table to get Deebo Samuel.....he has only broken 900 yards receiving one time in his seven year NFL career. TBH, he has to be one of the most overrated offensive players in the past decade.
-
The guys running the team aren't gonna play those kinds of mental games though.

Another major stat is defensive passer rating differential. This is calculated by the following formula. Passer Rating Differential = (Offensive Passer Rating) − (Opponent Passer Rating Allowed) 61.2 = (Bryce's rating 147.1) - (Stafford's rating 85.9) If a team has a +10 differential they have a 70-75% chance of winning A team with a +20 differential has 85-90% chance of winning A +25 to +30 differential has a 95% chance of winning. According to Chat GPT A passer rating differential of +25 or higher is one of the strongest predictors of victory in a single NFL game — more reliable than turnover differential, rushing yards, or total yards Bryce played well overall today, but a lion's share of the credit goes to the defense for their ability to force Stafford in several uncharacteristic errors to keep his QBR under 90 today. If the team is going to be successful going forward, Bryce is going to have to play like this from week to week or the team needs to bring another QB who is up to the task.

Yeah, I am not making any such argument. Just expressing that would be a very Panthers thing to do and befitting of the 2025 team.
-
I got no expectations for anything anymore. There is no fuging telling who we are on a week to week basis. I am not convinced that even the coaching staff has any idea what they are gonna do at kickoff. It feels like we are a team being led by a Ouija board. fug it. I am just along for the ride and curious to see where the hell this is headed.

that Saints game matters more than the Seahawks game, we got to win at least 2 of the next 3 division games

100%

I think it's still hard to predict on Bryce, TBH. Canales is probably safe at this point. Which, I honestly thought he would have been safe at a 4-5 win season too.
-
I’m jealous as we really need a bye. We lost Wyatt for the year to a broken ankle.
-
They better not lose to NO. I've never demanded a win from this group but they better not lose to that bunch again.
-
Yeah usually you want 1 around week 10 range but for our injuries, this is perfect timing. Ton of guys should be coming back and vs a division opponent.
-
I predict we lose to the Saints and somehow beat the Seahawks. It just feels like a Panthers way to go out.
-
You shouldn't be. The Packers are clearly a more talented team. Us on the other hand depend largely on whether Young is having a good day or not. Mostly he doesn't have a good day.

Date with the Bucs

Glad we have both of them. I think Rico is more explosive, but Chuba is a grinder who really finishes runs strong. I also think Chuba looked really bad initially coming back from that injury, because as he admitted, he wasn’t 100%. Now, I think Rico is banged up and Chuba is back fully healthy. Thankful for the bye week being scheduled when it was.

I don’t want to face you guys again in the playoffs. I’m scared of you all after November 2nd.

Some are still experiencing doomed depression while witnessing clear franchise progress after a terrible decade-long decline. Is your quality of life really improving to invest 95% of your posts shouting that our QB is the worst? You aren’t part of the decision team yet you act like it’s your full-time job and side hustle income. Having positive signs of growth is necessary for a winning and contending culture. It also means we can maybe finally get some HC and GM stability. Then, the roster can get molded each year in the right direction. Enjoy the progress and crack a smile in real life every once in a while. Damn.

Man, I loathe the top of the AFC standings right now. My two most hated teams. At least I am comfortable with New England knowing they are basically a fraud but Denver worries me. I damn sure don't want them OR that fuging pillhead getting any more titles.
-
I hope you do.

There are different versions of "winning with him" though. The 49ers were winning with Purdy, not because of him. But just because they weren't winning BECAUSE of him, doesn't mean they would win with another QB either. He still brought a unique something that makes him a perfect fit with Shannahan and a well built out offense. We're winning with Bryce, and like Purdy, we're not winning because of him. But we're also not winning in ways that other QB's wouldn't be able to win just as many games as Bryce has. The difference is that I think we'd be winning and losing different games with another QB. Bryce does have a clutch factor to him, I've admitted as much, but it just doesn't come out all that often, and even when it does, it's not the same clutch factor as the actual elite QBs. So we might not have won some of those late drive heroics when he's done it the handful of times, but I think we'd have won some of the others where he clearly cost us wins with his poor play. If this was year 1 or 2, I wouldn't be saying it's time to move on, but it's year 3 and he still has way too many issues, many of which just won't ever be fixed for him (namely his arm).

I think you guys are going to sweep Tampa! Atlanta lost to the Jets today!
