  1. Past hour
  2. Seems like the landscape for college QBs is changing some of this stuff in a way that may not be really obvious. Because we have the last two or three years, more guys being redeemed. Is it possible they just aren’t as ready and that accounts for some later development?
  3. He may start, he may not. I'm not sure even Canales knows at this point. I'm of the mind that I want it to be so ugly that it forces someone up top to finally do something. If it's going to burn then bring the wood and light the torches.
  4. Okay. I thought this was being used to imply that Dalton would be starting.
  5. It's some lame attempt to make Green Bay prepare for both qb's. Well 3 qb's if you include White but who's counting. It would be funny if it wasn't so ridiculous. Like it's really going to make a difference if any of them start.
  6. We have 4 qb's practicing for some reason. I'm sure we'll get a very clear coherent explanation after practice.
  7. It seems that way. I agree on the game day stuff in general. I have other criticisms also. Or questions. I mean I could argue that Renfro should be active too, but I am accepting that it isn’t always fair. By that I mean BY is the one that can’t hit him. And prioritizing snaps for younger players is arguable but I haven’t seen a lot out of them either. Horn is more promising to me than Coker at this point but again, the QB play has been bad, and the running game has been more of a focus too.
  8. Hell, I think it's pretty obvious at this point. Mind you, I'm not saying that we should've kept him considering the circumstances.
  9. Am I missing some secret coded message here? Is BY9 participating in QB drills too, or is he not?
  10. The huddle don’t want to admit they were wrong about burns so bad lol let it go
  11. I mean, I wouldn't classify him as elite, but he is good. Are you arguing that he's JAG? There aren't many elite pass rushers in the league today in my opinion. Carter and Thibodeuax don't seem to be. I mean, come on. Sometimes rushers get to the QB, sometimes they don't. Sometimes injuries slow a player down. I haven't seen Hutchinson enough, but he just got paid like an elite pass rusher, and we all know that Parsons is. Who else is really elite? Crosby and Watt can rain terror, at times. Hendrickson is good, but a Johnny-come-lately. Other guys seem to be on the same level as Burns. The days of Pep or Reggie White have been gone. I mean, take away good pass rushers from other good pass rushers, and they're bound not to generate as much sacks or pressure. It's still a team sport at the end of the day.
  12. With Canales I'm not nearly as concerned about his mismanagement of the RB situation (which you could argue is being overblown to a degree yes) as I am with how woefully inept he is at preparing coaching and managing his team on gamedays against opponents and their coaching staffs with winning records. The team has been blown off the field too many times under his watch now. But I will concede that even if we fire him we will just end up with another figurehead of sorts. It's plainly obvious or at least it should be that our ownership is still meddling and pulling strings.
  13. It's definitely not but what he and Darnold and now Jones are all doing does show that if you have a guy who checks a lot of the prerequisite boxes putting them in the right situation can make all the difference. The problem for the folks wanting to apply this logic to Bryce is that little "checks a lot of the prerequisite boxes" issue.
  14. Chuba's not bad hes an average back a dime a dozen anybody calling him more than that is vastly over inflating his play
  15. So because Dalton is in pads, that means he is playing again?
  16. No one wants a rb on a contract who’s probably banged up. everyone wants someone like Rico on a one year deal. you can just force teams to accept trades. They have to want what you’re selling
  17. That hardline approach doesn’t always serve best interests in real world situations. I get it. The whole uproar over essentially giving Chuba an extra game to validate himself doesn’t really move the needle much with me. I was irritated along with most people when Chuba came out on the first series against the Bills. Just think it is being overblown in service of the argument against Canales There wouldn’t be an Andy situation if not for Bryce and that whole clusterfug. I never have liked it but I never have liked having Bryce under these conditions. Circumstances. That poo is coming from ownership and a coach that would buck that is a coach that would not have been hired. IOW it would probably be the same with Canales replaced, unless Tepper said it wouldn’t. And if not Andy then some other non threat.
  18. Will this be Andy's redemption game? Can he summon the red rocket in him one last time?
  19. Chuba definitely isn’t "garbage". I also don't think it's fair to label him a JAG if he is indeed not 100%. Then again if he isn't why was he playing at all already if we have Dowdle and Etienne who are capable? Although it is fair to ponder in terms of Chuba's production the last two seasons what his normal is because we have the highest paid OL in the entire league currently and that's only going to increase when we extend Icky.
  20. I felt Rico was a better, more powerful runner with burst more than Chubba even before he got those starts and he has proven he is. If the Panthers were to trade a RB the better move would be to trade Chubba and sign Rico to longer term contract so he's not lost in free agency.
