  1. Past hour
  2. Why do you keep lying about this? You keep repeating this for some insane reason when it's so easily not true. I listed games off the top of the head where he played well when you said this in another thread. Week 16 against the Cards 36-30 OT win. Threw 3 TD's Week 12 against KC 30-27 loss but Bryce went 24 of 35 for 263 yrds. It was Mahomes magic that got us. Week 10 against the Bucs 298 yards in a close game with a passing TD and a running TD. We even had those flashes of what he could be in 2023 against the Packers, the 95-yard game winning drive vs the Falcons, or how he outplayed CJ Shroud with the win over the Texans.
  3. I would start scouting QBs for next years draft really close. And I would try to trade for Jameis Winston as the stop gap. It wouldn’t be pretty, but it sure would be entertaining. As a bonus, our young WRs and TEs would thrive.
  4. If I visited the queen city, 100% this woman would find me....
  5. Fair question, and I don’t have an answer for you. I just keep watching games and opponents keep doing the same thing with no adjustments being made. And for sure last years squad was weak, no doubt. It just feels very predictable, and line up choices feel questionable at best. But that is my take from the couch.
  6. You can not trust anyone, I have learned this. Still you must get the message across, All college QBs need extra attention this year. Id honestly feel drafting 2 should be the plan. Drafting is the only solution, unless anyone believes another Jake Delhommey deal happens. Panthers won the QB lotto with Jake, its so rare that another Jake isn't walking on this team.... Im not ready to write off the season and I think the huddle should know better.....its just been 7 years of disappointment......It changes you. I said no week one is a "must", but in 30 years this felt the closest to one given the poor Jags, bad QB, and new staff. Panthers had some hope, now its all gone. I sped though the game again, I noticed Jags were better prepared than I thought. The Jags coaches on both sides seem to have the Panthers playbooks and knew how most developed. I don't know if TB gave Coen Daves playbook, it felt like it the first time watching and even more the second. Jags knew what was coming and it made the Panthers look worse than they are. Still a long season......
  7. Good breakdown! I'm not going to pretend like I know what I'm looking at all that well, but I get the feeling Coen knew exactly how to attack Evero's defense. Maybe we'll realize by the end of the year that he's a darn fine playcaller and we'll look back at this a little differently. However.... some of these defensive players look pretty bad in a lot of different spots. #32 has been beat up a lot for that day already but this is just another reminder. He takes extremely puzzling angles too much.
  8. I read the entire article. Seam routes are great against a single high safety because they have to make a decision. They can be high risk, high reward play but they are a staple in nearly every NFL game. Just because they are tight windows doesn't make them hospital balls. The biggest takeaway from that whole article was this is football. You're going to get hit. You can get lit up on any play. QB tries the best he can to judge the distance but the structure of the play is going to get you hit and that safety can run down hill. Here is one to Sanders, from the same game, who slows down slightly and puts himself in a better position to make the catch without getting lit up. Hunter ran full tilt and jumped. No fear running that route which is what Grok recommends.
  9. Wanted to give a quick shout out to those of y'all participating in the discussion in good faith. It's been a nice change of pace for some of us fans to combine our knowledge and try to figure things out rather than just looking for a scapegoat to blow off some steam. ♡
  10. You don't throw high over the middle, unless your Bryce then it's okay and it's the recievers fault. Plus Sanders is 6'4" 250 and Renfrow is 5'10" 180
  11. https://www.espn.com/nfl/game/_/gameId/401547432/panthers-seahawks https://www.espn.com/nfl/game/_/gameId/401671658/panthers-raiders 680 passing yards between two games and one of those was with a head coach many here have called the worst in our history. When washed Andy Dalton is the high point for your passing offense in 2 years with the same players when you have a first overall pick at QB on the roster nothing more really needs to be said.
  12. You can also see it in how he didnt even try to build an offense for Bryce. Stroud was his QB and he was overruled. He lost interest immediately. He went through the motions until he was fired.
  13. Today
  14. Honestly? Because Tepper refuses to admit he was wrong when he insisted the team draft Bryce Young. Miss me with the 'he was the consensus pick in the building' malarkey. Go and find footage of Reich watching Stroud through at his pro day and then compare it to Reich (and McCown) at Young's pro day. He was enamoured with Stroud.
  15. It's arguable he missed two walk in TDs to Renfrow on Sunday - he threw one out of bounds and he underthrew the other. Renfrow had his man beat deep by 2 yards (NFL open) down the sidelines. QBs miss throws, that's the nature of the game. They also make throws, which Young simply doesn't do consistently enough.
  16. Didn't realize how much cover 3 he runs. Seeing how many throws went to the middle of the hashes or boundaries about 10 yards deep, wish we ran some more Cover 2 zones that game
  17. Yeah, what the hell is Scott doing on that 1 play he dropped back to the 40?? There isn't 10 seconds left in the half and need to defend a hail mary...
  18. Immediately cast blame? We had been talking about the bad throws to Hunter (the missed TDs and hospital ball) for days leading up to that injury report. And yeah, the rib injury then becomes something to point out. and you are getting desperate with this projected extremism. No one said you should never throw seams. I shared with you an article after you scoffed at seams being routes you can get hung out to dry on….and it was the best of the best talking about the dangers of those routes. And they talked about it because they threw them a lot and there dudes were at risk so the throws really matter. Because you can hurt your receivers. we disagree, cool. I got a pro Bryce former NFL QB calling it a hospital ball and bad throw. So I got a plus +1 making my argument. Find a QB that backs your take.
  19. You exclusively highlighted Hunter's name on the injury report and then immediately cast blame. I've pointed out that this wasn't the hospital ball you claim it to be while also acknowledging that there could have been another option to target instead of Renfrow. By everything you've expressed here, you don't think seam routes should ever be thrown. I don't know how that helps the already struggling offense, but I do know that it would make it even worse than it already is. Scapegoating never has and never will solve anything. Tell you what: Try not blaming Bryce or casting shade his way for the entire week after Arizona and instead look at the other 21 starters and assess what they're doing (again, without shading Bryce). I'll join you and refrain from exploring what the rest of the team is doing and will focus solely on what Bryce needs to do better. Deal? This is a sincere peace offering to allow us to explore the other's perspective and perhaps be even more informed football fans.
  20. TMac PI throw was a TD too. Bryce just drastically under threw it. Renfrow and TMac set themselves up to BOTH have great days. the story of last of no one was open…..isn’t a defense the Bryce Young defenders can use so far this year
  21. I actually think David Moore needs to play ahead of XL right now. Or find a way to get Horn in the game. XL has some soul searching to do. Canales tried to make him a gadget player, but we can't even do that right. All the potential in the world but he's a work in progress.
  22. They'll both be on I.R. by week 7.
  23. And the only reason we are 28th is because we gave Horn a new contract in the offseason. Otherwise, we would be dead last
  24. Go watch one of the million videos posted in threads that past few days reviewing Bryce and that will give you your answer. Off the top of my head, Renfrow twice on a wheel route for a TD, Renfrow twice on a comeback route with about 5 yards of separation, XL 2 or 3 times on in routes (which I guess I'll excuse because he probably would have dropped them anyway), Tet on a deep post that Bryce overthrew. I'm sure there were more plays - there are just too many to keep track of.
  25. every season to date a very bad and completely washed Andy Dalton makes a token appearance to give us our passing high on the season. to say other QBs couldn’t do anything is just nuts. Big plays were all over the field Sunday and BY literally couldn’t make a single one of them happen
  26. Yeah, he could absolutely be more consistent. But what QB do you want me to show you how they miss throws every game? You could probably pick any QB in the NFL and do a cut up of missed throws in every game - and they'll likely have better WRs than Carolina. Well, there was that Jayden Daniels game last year where he completed like 90% of his passes. He was just in a friggin zone. Don't think I've ever seen anything like that before. But that ain't the norm.
