Texas making the SEC look like a fraud. Should've stayed in the Big 12.
-
No pick. Lil Archie better get his poo together and get some points on the board
-
No one cares about facts anymore but I appreciate the effort here. A 4th was a great return in this situation. That is incontrovertible but it will be debated ad nauseam anyway.
-
Maybe he's saving up some Manning magic for a dramatic, last minute, comeback win. Time is running out though.
-
And he throws an ugly INT. LOL I think that hit the ground but I think we're seeing why a marginal NFL talent in Ewers was playing over this guy. They're having to run a HS offense to protect this guy.
-
His very first throw down field, was in the dirt ,4 yards in front of his target.
-
This is the window where it’s hard to judge what is good defense vs bad offense. Ohio State gotta a pretty different group out there on D vs last year but it’s also Ohio State so that roster is slammed also, these big games so early stinks because they will be different teams later on. This what, Arch’s second career a start?? I remember when Trevor went undefeated at Clemson and took down what was billed as the possibly greatest college football team in Bama of all time (pending Bama won that game). Trevor destroyed them for that natty. Why do I bring that up? Trevor Lawerence was ass the first couple games season. Arch gonna need some time to be whatever he will be…even whatever he will be this season
-
Arch Manning is supposed to be a transcendent, generational, once ever type QB talent and it's in the 4th quarter and Texas has exactly the same number of points they'd have with me playing QB. LOL
-
It is definitely early, but throwing every pass as hard as you can and slightly off target is not a great look.
-
Texas play calling Rivera level conservative
-
Which is why I'm honestly glad he's gone. That's nothing against Thielen. He was everything we signed him to be. But Bryce Young wasn't a guy drafted for his immense physical talent. He was drafted because he's supposed to be a QB football savant. So let's see it. Take away the training wheels doing it for him and let's see it.
-
Arch Manning with 38 yards passing to start the 4th. Terrible.
-
The one WR which has done anything meaningful in games goes down lol And freaking Moore out there just wasting yet another roster spot.
-
Backbreaking TD
-
Thanks for that heads up
-
I mean both defenses are some of the best if not the best two in the country. Main difference in the game is Ohio State scored on 4th and goal and Texas didn’t. Arch doesn’t look good but anyone saying he’s a scrub or a bust after literally his first game against a high quality opponent is just a hater. Sark doesn’t seem to have any answers either.

AT was basically Greg Olsen-ish for Bryce. In so many ways. He was keeping stuff on right page and really more of small TE than actual slot WR out there. Canales isn’t going to be able to just insert Hunter into that role on the O that AT was doing. Hunter is a true slot WR. And a niche one at that. Might take some time to try to figure out plays/calls really insert Renfrow into. Thats not really Canales’ base what Hunter does so well
-
Terrible. Texas has had 4 or 5 drives that started near midfield and have nothing. OSU is defending champs but they lost 14 players in the draft, including a ton on the DL. It looks like they don’t trust the heisman favorite. Maybe this is why he couldn’t beat out Ewers. Maybe he’ll pick it up but damn this is his third year in college. It feels like a game plan when you have to start a freshman or third stringer due to injuries.
-
Aaaaaaaand that...
-
Yea that was just a bad throw and decision
-
Told ya’ll on the AT trade threads. Realistically you have 3 starting WR in the NFL. You are now one injury away from David Moore or Jimmy Horn starting. I’m sure the 4th or whatever the hell it ended up being was worth it.
-
Also: "Eliiiiiies"
-
Other note: I like this Australian punter that Texas has. The fact that I've seen enough of him to say that doesn't really speak well for them though
-
One thing about Manning: I would say his throwing motion does remind me of his uncles, but that doesn't necessarily say anything about his ability.
-
It's too early to call him anything at this point. I don't necessarily think he's bad, but he's not that good, and he's nowhere close to Manning good. I'd agree the preseason Heisman favorite bullsh-t is because of his last name.
