  1. Past hour
  2. I asked AI imaging to reproduce a picture of some of my budgies. What I got was an image of some kind of weird, unearthly budgie / conure / macaw hybrid
  3. Kenyon Sadiq, who goes to the Panthers at No. 13 overall in a new seven-round mock draft from Pro Football Network. "Tight ends aren’t traditionally valued this high, and Carolina has needs elsewhere. But the value isn’t great at EDGE or CB, and Kenyon Sadiq can make a big impact on offense for Bryce Young. At 6’3″, 255 pounds, Sadiq is an explosive and compact two-phase weapon who can splice through zones, stem up slot DBs, make high-difficulty catches, and accrue RAC as a pass-catcher, while driving EDGEs off the ball in the run game." I wonder with Evans and Tremble would be better off going LB or OLB first.
  4. Nope, they have the pitchforks out and torches lit for XL. Yet another guy in his second season who is the worst Panther to put on a jersey due to him not being another player they wanted to draft, didn't hit the ground running like a Jamar Chase, and any positives(blocking/getting open/running off coverage), are looked at as general nothing burgers. Even though traditionally a WR takes till year three to get it, according to huddle opinions, they should find an exit strategy now.
  5. I was assured that was Bryce Have heard that Tagovailoa and JJ McCarthy among others aren't exactly setting the world on fire this season either.
  6. Yeah, literally never trust that horseshit.
  7. I’m ready to move on but he seems like a coach’s guy and they know more than me so it’s all good. His pick in the rams was harder than it looked. I’m glad he got a hold of it.
  8. Not really, Brady was the main starter https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/tom-brady-1/gamelog/ https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/drew-henson-1/gamelog/
  9. Hell, the post was in a thread that isn't even about Bryce, but that's how it works around here Some of the same posters in this thread have also posted heavily in a couple of other threads where I'vw been active. Let's just say some of the takes were...less than reasonable. There are certainly reasonable takes, and I think you and I share one. There are also "we win in spite of him" arguments, which are among the silliest takes in the world to me
  10. Those magical 10 games last year he was still at 200ypg and 60% completetion no matter what PFF said, we said on here, yes he improved but he improved from disaster to a bottom 3rd qb. Not sure what they were thinking going into this year. This off season should be very revealing about what they truly think of him or more importantly if tepper is still involved
  11. Yes, when you have a little running back wrapped up by an interior lineman, he's still fighting, and you have a clear shot to bring the hammer, you do it. Somehow he came flying in, got ran over, and Corum scored. And I've seen him fly in and knock teammates chin strap loose who had players on the ground. Just inconsistent and highly upgradeable. Would love to pick Caleb Downs if there isn't a game changing LB there in round one. That's never been our modus operandi, but ya know, dreams and what not.
  12. wasn't he like co-starter with Drew Hensen most of his last season. It was some weird alternate QB thing going on at Michigan. I don't know, I just googled and co-pilot spit out 10. I don't think it qualifies as 2 legit seasons at Michgian though but maybe it is more than that AI spit out. Going for the quick and easy has given me 3 different numbers lol.
  13. I don't think we're coddling him but I do think we went into the season overconfident in him and his ability to never get injured at all. We definitely need a better QB room next year.
  14. I have seen a fair amount of him. He is the worst active QB in the NFL. It's impressive how bad he is.
  15. So this is the equivalent of his contract year, so to speak?
  16. Just like you could find random idiots (racists usually but ... ) that thought Derek Anderson should start over cam, you can find any number of stupid takes. That post was in a thread by a poster that does not have such takes, which had other non stupid posters that are all considered not to be fans of Bryce. So do you think it's unreasonable to assume that post was about the posters in this thread? I think you're being overly charitable in your interpretation is all. Anyway this isn't really going anywhere... You and I mostly agree honestly about Bryce (as do most of the so-called haters).
  17. But still, it's Cleveland I don't claim to have seen all that much of Gabriel this year (not enough of a masochist to watch Browns games) but the "Factory of Sadness" is one of the league's funniest running gags to me Would be great if we could have a "Marvel What If" type of thing for football. I'd ask what would have happened if Tom Brady had been drafted by the Browns.
  18. Brady was a two season starter in college. https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/tom-brady-1/gamelog/
  19. Or as a coaching staff. Canales literally benched him 2 games into his tenure. I think this coddling narrative is a little overblown. And how good is a FA that's sitting at home not on a team, or being waived in the offseason? Probably not as good as we're thinking.
  20. The Panther GOAT probably had 14 division 1 starts The NFL GOAT I think had like 10 starts in college. football is just a weird. But outside of the most extreme outliers....you know after 2-3 years of opportunity if someone is special or not. If you are debating at the end of year 3 if they are even a middle tier game manager? Well, that puzzle got solved.
  21. Yeah, I have no problem acknowdging that Bryce IS playing better. What I want his supporters to understand and what I desperately hope that the Panthers understand is that his margin of error is and always will be incredibly small. For Bryce to deliver acceptable starting QB play he and his supporting cast have to be damn near perfect. That's a big reason why we've scored 13 or fewer points in 7 games this year and we've thrown for fewer than 200 yards in 9 games (and a 10th barely breaking that with 209). He's averaging under 200 passing yards per game. We're 25th in the NFL in passing yardage per game. It is really tough to consistently win in the modern NFL with that type of passing production. It's fun to actually have a winning record in December for the first time in forever but we have to be mindful of how anomalous it is how we've gotten there when it comes to making decisions on the future. Hell, we beat playoff bound GB with Bryce throwing for his statistically worst game of the season with 102 yards, 0 TDs, and an INT. When it comes to contract decisions you can very easily shoot yourself in the foot out of fear of getting worse instead of the courage to try to improve. Looking at the whole, his play is honestly not really approaching mid-level its significantly below average. You can't let overall team performance skew how you judge individual performances when it comes to making decisions on the future.
  22. Still boggles my mind that there are people who tear him down.
