  1. Past hour
  2. Lol just remember who was here when it started
  3. I don't see the logic in focusing on perceived negativity for a franchise that hasn't won a playoff series in about a quarter century. Let's get in the playoffs and win and go from there. If these Hornets can finally get over that hurdle and win a playoff series you will see a different vibe from the fanbase that is for sure and it will have been earned.
  4. We can’t have nice things around here because there are a lot of negative dickheads. Jesus Christ enjoy that this team has turned the corner and it’s looking really good for a change! I’ve been a member on this message board for many many many years and the last couple years I’ve seen more negativity and miserable fugsthat I’ve ever seen before. With that being said, go Hornets.
  5. Yeah.....and so many never wanted him..... Absolutely hated the pick. Same with Miller. We should be very glad the Hornets front office finally trusted better judgment in both instances. For whatever happens from here at least we finally have some young promising talent reminiscent of the 90's Hornets.
  6. Yeah, at this point we have the answer in Bryce IMO. He's TON of help to ein games as an NFL QB. Pn a rookie contract, cool. You have the cap flexibility to pay for that help. But give a guy like that a franchise QB contract and you just tied a cap noose around your neck that he can't overcome unless you absolutely knock it out of the park every year in the draft.
  7. Dan Morgan is very likeable. He's a very notable former Panther. One of the best LB's I've seen play. But he is the GM now. Have to learn to separate the two. If he is unwilling this offseason in Bryce Young's 4th year in the league to address the QB room in a meaningful way and have a viable fallback plan at the most important position on the field then he deserves any and all criticism. I would say the same for any other GM in the same circumstances.
  8. This logic legitimately disgusts me. I could see if this were a QB who had more often than not flashed consistent top arm talent and had shown instances of taking over games but this is not that at all. It's time for the fourth year #1 pick to elevate the moving parts around him rather than need everything to not only go perfectly but those around him to make herculean efforts and the other team to implode to be successful. No sir. Build a complete roster and focus on the defense primarily. Do what you can on offense without making all in moves to the detriment of the rest of the team as we have already done. The steep investment behind center either rises to the occasion or we go another direction.
  9. Rico is 0%. I think we would really like to have Mays back but we have a value in mind and aren't willing to overspend. I think someone probably will so I think the odds are pretty low but not zero.
  10. Damn I liked A'Shawn too. This is basically a heads up we're planning on cutting you move. Robinson wasn't the best but I loved his attitude and effort on the field. He held that entire dline together when Brown went down iirc..granted we finished that season as the worst rushing defense in modern NFL history. If Wharton would have performed up to atleast half of his salary last season, I'd feel a little better about it. We do need that cap space though.
  11. 13. Carolina is coming. The Panthers are well thought of around the league. Their "process" seems sound. I think their off-season will be very interesting to keep an eye on. They made the playoffs, but they're not yet knocking on the door. (Offense was 26th in EPA/play.) I think it's imperative they don't overestimate where they are in their build. They can't throw a ton of money around in FA to "make a run now". They need to be intentional about building a solid foundation. (IMO) And from what I know about the team... I think they will be. Sidenote: I have my eye on offense there, not defense. They HAVE to leave next season with a strong opinion on Bryce Young. They need to put pieces around him to do that. Can't be left wondering what he would have looked like with "better OL play" or "more pass catchers". They have to know. (That part is purely my opinion. No one told me that.) https://x.com/lindsay_rhodes/status/2027212533417869499?s=46&t=xeIgh_-Vr2aKxBkBJdfnKA
  12. Because this DL is completely reliant on Brown being available and being a stud. Without him we were the worst D in history. The Wharton signing last year reeked of desperation. He just isn't a great fit for us schematically and I think we panicked a little bit when we missed out on Milton Williams who would have been a great fit.
  13. I have a very specific set of skills.....LOL
  14. Dungy just isn't a TV or "go viral" guy, which is sad cause he does drop knowledge. He's perfect for podcast, just the market has players moms and forklift drivers on bathroom breaks to compete with....
  15. I do not see how Mays or Rico re-signs with the Panthers. .001% at either.
  16. https://athlonsports.com/nfl/2026-scouting-combine-quarterbacks-nfl-draft-cole-payton-fernando-mendoza I feared this..... I know feel he will not even make to Panthers 5th rounders.....he may even go in the 3rd, I've heard he's killing the combine before he's even doing drills. O well......rip my dream...
  17. I've had a few mock draft and love was there, it did make me think...lol @ mocks and all. Still I do not see how on earth KC doesn't draft him, that would be scary and too much sense. Still him even getting past the saints would legit shock me, Kellen Moore knows what a stud RB he is. The deal is this RB draft is weak, very weak. Love is the only difference maker and its clear. 2nd ranked guy is around 3rd and the remaining group are 6th-UDFA. Its bad, maybe the worst in years. All the guys want to be WRs now, no one wants to carry the ball and take hits for peanuts....they'd rather get a rec and step out of bounds...
  18. A'Shawn Robinson CARDefensive Tackle#94 The Athletic’s Joe Person reports the Panthers have given DT A’Shawn Permission to seek a trade As Person points out, this was expected. Robinson is considered to be a trade/cut candidate, which would free up $10.5 million for the Panthers. The veteran lineman who will be 31 next season continues to play at a high level. Robinson totaled 65 tackles, three TFLs, and 2.5 sacks last season, and had 80 tackles, eight TFLs, and 5.5 sacks in 2024. With just one year left on his current deal, Robinson could likely be acquired for a late Day 3 pick, but given the possibility of a release, teams may just wait until he hits the open market before attempting to acquire him.
  19. Today
  20. I feel we need QB too, my guy Cole Payton is making $$$$ at the combine.....I think he's going 3-5 now, Id even say lock it up. (he's up 70 spots in mocks...) You have been killing the panther draft mhs. I swear the ICKEY injury killed dang near the whole plan. If not for that, I feel you could make a decent case to draft TY Simpson, sure he doesn't have many fans on the huddle. Fact is he the clear #2(I like Cole right next to him.....), and if you have the chance to add the #2 QB at 19 in a modern draft, its perfectly ok. Plus Dan was FA fill, we know cobert is back unless some team gives him 6 million. He is finally healthy this off-season for the first time in years. Dan doesn't have space, but I still fill that 2nd wave of "cheap" options, Dan will collect a few and thus the draft will change.
  21. "Bryce is my guy"... "I'm a big Bryce fan".... I know- "Its the GM bas, he wouldnt toss...midget toss BY in front of the bus".... He also will be looking for a new job if he doesn't bring in legit 6'0+ 200 LBs+ QB talent....
  22. As much as I dislike Bryce, no. Too many needs elsewhere and it looks like this dumb team is going to ride Bryce for another year. I've been saying I would like to take a QB in a mid-round, but now I'm thinking maybe a 6 or 7th rounder plus a free agent is the right approach, then go big next year.
  23. Classic case of a player getting cut because of the price tag, not the performance. A’Shawn was a strong free-agent pickup for us and has been very solid the past two seasons. At the end of the day, though, it’s an easy business decision — moving on from an age 31-year-old player to free up $10+ million in cap space makes financial sense, even if it’s tough from a football standpoint
  24. Your guys are going to have to talk me into this "DL" need/want. Panthers lost crumdey cause they had 6/7 DLmen ahead of him, 2 of which was nearly always inactive each GameDay. They seem to like Harrison-hunter and Ray is back for cheap if they want. Cam Jackson is back after a second off-season. I know you always want to improve, but DL(-edge) to me seems far down the need/want. They got a solid starting 3 and young talent behind them. They only had 4-5 active on GameDay, cause dbrown plays the whole dang game. *Now* if you want to say NT, they haven't had one in three years as a 3-4 team.....that's the most important spot in the old 3-4..... But a rookie NT is not normal, cause you need a 27 year old 375 man-beast ala wilfork or Gilbert brown.... Team just has too many holes...
  25. It feels like he has learned from that first year as GM and is not just looking at athleticism anymore
  26. Who says Love will be bpa at 19? You cannot go by mock drafts or someone else's rankings. Even if he was bpa there's a reason he would drop and that's the fact he's a RB. No, we are not going to take a RB in round 1. Ask Marty Hurney how many wins CMC added to this team.
