  1. Past hour
  2. Mark Jones; talk about a blast from the past. That dude got us yards every time. He also didn’t drop the ball. Been awhile since we had someone dependable back there like that
  3. We haven't tried to get this type of player in forever. It's infuriating.
  4. Everyone sort of faltered in that passing offense after the trade deadline because Darnold went to poo from Week 11 onward. I do think they intend to keep him.
  5. Would fill two big needs, field stretching wr and certified punt/kick returner would love it
  6. I think that will be a far less serious injury than he ultimately gets in his NFL career.
  7. Everyone knows I'm not big on Bryce but I don't really fault Bryce here. No, it wasn't the greatest throw. But he threw a catchable ball to an open WR. You gotta throw to the guy that's open. Horn was put on the field by the coaching staff, he ran a route and got open, he was thrown a catchable ball and he failed to catch it. It is what it is. David Tyree had 4 catches for 35 yards in 2007 when he came down with this miracle in the SB...
  8. That’s ‘funny’. Morgan has been very good trading down. It is the trading up that gets the pitchforks out.
  9. LB is not a huge need for the Lions, so that is odd. 100% against any trade ups. Hill I sometimes see in the 2nd, maybe he slides there too. Agree on the OL planning. Plan for the future, not the present.
  10. With the season on the line, you gotta go to the guy with 11 career receptions.
  11. But yeah, given that particular situation he should've gone to the ground and absolutely prioritized securing the catch. Catch it and keep running maybe it's a big gainer. But simply go to the ground and ensure you secure the catch and we move the chains and stay in the game. I think a savvy vet is smart enough to forego the big play opportunity and simply ensure he moves the chains and keeps us in the game.
  12. Hes slowing down here because the ball is poorly thrown. Hes got a safety over top in zone who was keyed in on him (look at the path the safety takes) and a defender playing trail. If this ball is in front of him he basically has to wall glitch 90 degrees in a very small space and break two tackles. This from the only guy on the team smaller than bryce. we’ll never know because bryce threw a duck at his back heel. Just catching that and getting down and calling a timeout is a good play there. We don’t need to fantasize hero poo. better question is why they’re throwing to Jimmy horn in this situation at all but that’s an uncomfortable one to ponder for “team mediocrity is supreme” on this board.
  13. In stride? Jimmy Horn has wheels, he second guesses himself sometimes so maybe not this time but he probably had like one safety to beat if he caught that on the move
  14. Certainly higher profile but if think their recent track record of hires indicates they’re not well thought of us among the coaches. They’re also kinda weird about “culture hires” which is how you end up with guys like Joe Judge. Falcons firing (promoting?) rich McKay again is a good move, and they have basically unlimited resources in Atlanta. Plus you get to play in the nfc south. He also just might take a year off
  15. That's why I was pissed they didn't have David Moore active, he's not a burner but he makes those catches. And he knows what it's like to be on a playoff caliber team
  16. I think he will go to NYG if he goes anywhere.
  17. Not a great throw but at the same time that's a catch you have to make the majority of the time if you want to be an NFL WR. Every WR on an NFL roster will look at that and say yeah, just get me that ball I'm making that catch all day.
  18. I was talking about Daniel Jones. Edit: and speaking of Mac Jones, him with Shanghai is a bit different than with who is it in Pittsburgh, Arthur Smith?
  19. A vet maybe would have dropped to cradle it but poo throw. In front of him it's probably a td
  20. Best of the world to him from here. Definitely a guy who never gave up on himself and gave his best for everyone who gave him a chance. Glad he spent some time with us.
  21. That ball was not behind him and it while it was low, it wasn't too low. TMac had made a catch on a similar pass earlier in the game. NFL receivers routinely make those catches. If they can't make them, they shouldn't be in the NFL. I agree with you though and hate it for him. I thought he played well for the limited touches he got.
  22. Coker emerged at the end of last season - most people just missed it. The real difference is XL with his most offensive penalties on the team and his 54% catch rate would not have been needed. It would have been TMac and Theilen and then TMac, Theilen and Coker. That's probably good for another win or two. I agree though getting the draft picks was worth him not being here given how the season finished.
  23. You make it sound like Jones' failed. He didn't. Purdy just recovered and took his starting job back. Yes, the Steelers went to the playoffs again and immediately lost - again.
  24. Listen it’s not fair to evaluate bryce without four full years with Canales, and if you’re gonna have him play the fifth year you might as well lock him up long term in case he breaks out which he’s definitely going to do any season now.
