I'll add one more thought for you Icege What could make me change my outlook? Think that will come down to the Panthers showing me something in preseason. Not wins. Not stats. But I have long been a believer preseason can show you things about certain players, the team, etc (dates back to Matt Rhule era) and IMO has applied ever since. Do they actually rep Bryce Young and not try to hide him this year? I feel that applied the past 2 seasons and drastically hurt him going into both seasons (that's on staff). The young Cam Newton way was the way. Take lumps in preseason. Shake the rust off. Get used to game speed again. Not using the start of the actual season for your very young QB to find a groove. They haven't repped him or rep him less than stud QBs. I don't think either preseason the team was showing confidence in reality (only word) of what they had going into either of the last 2 seasons. also, we need our young WRs doing the same. They need the same reps. Preseason games don't matter. But they do. They are real NFL reps vs people you don't see every day in real game environments. They need lots of balls. XL and Saunders combined for 2 catches all last preseason (XL at 0). I get injury concerns and being overly cautious was part of that. But those dudes still played. Feel the staff did a poor job of working up our young guys in those moments leading into the season. Get them catches. Get them work. If BY, XL, Tmac, Saunders are out there all preseason putting in real work going into this season and showing some confidence? The players on O that will matter are? I might change my view. If it's just a bunch of not seeing Bryce, not seeing Tmac, not seeing XL, not seeing Saunders, etc.....and being told but it's totally going to be great week 1? Meh.

did they release a practice schedule for training camp? days and times? can't find one on the site
-
I hope he proves to be the best player available. No matter what we weren't addressing all of our issues over the course of one off-season.
-
Just another person who thinks we should have reached for a defensive player. Because that was all that was left by the time it was our pick. Reaches.
-
Yeah let’s take a player at LB at 8 who was not rated a top 10 talent over a WR who is a top 10 talent. There were NO players left at 8 besides T-Mac who was worth a top 10 pick and no one wanted to pay our price for moving back.
-
im going to laugh my ass off in a few weeks when he's listed as WR4. He also did nothing against Travis Hunter last year.
-
can't wait to see what this GENERATIONAL WIDE RECEIVER we reached on at 8 does for us. Because we can't stop anyone, and even less so now.
-
I'm sorry, but this is not a "shocking" release. I half-expected us to cut him back in March after we signed Rozeboom. I'm a Trevin Wallace fan and think he can be a solid player for us, but he's far from proven. I also have serious doubts about Rozeboom, so I'm not saying ILB isn't a pretty massive need right now, but to act like Jewel being cut is some huge shock is a little weird, IMO. And I didn't even realize he was as hurt as he apparently is. I expect us to add another veteran before the season, but realistically this is a hole we're just going to have to work around until the offseason.

Sucks for Jewell, but take care of yourself Wish we could go back in time and grab Germaine Pratt before he went to Vegas. Time to throw poo against the wall and hope it sticks. If we show any promise early in the season, trade for a guy to bolster the group then.
-
I believe we could in fact be the best and most fun to watch team of the entire Tepper era. So I’ll give you that. I just think we stay under .500. Flirt with that line. I do not think we have much room for injury though. Really need a 17 game Hubbard season behind a largely healthy OL for that to happen though. Still think the pass game is going to be on the weaker side given so much development with guys is in the works there so too much can't be placed on their shoulders. 100% has to be a complimentary O.
-
lol. I 100% knew that, I guess I failed in not making that reply even more comedically over the top. I’ll try better in the future.
-
Football aside, just praying for the man's health and recovery. A new page in life for him, I hope it all turns out well along the way.

Because once a Panther always a Panther...

Noah Fant? "Perfect fix?" More like imperfect fix.
TD alt replied to TD alt's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's much too soon for the "Holy air ball" comment, and saying he can do "everything" Nalo can do is simply a stretch. He's not as smooth a route runner, isn't as fast, nor does he provide the catch radius. Warren improved in drops last season, but honestly, Tetairoa has better hands as well. -
If our season hinged upon Josey Jewell, then we were screwed from the get-go. Relax, people.
-
We was our best LB last season, so that’s saying something
-
Not a fan but that is a harsh situation. I hope he stays away and enjoys his next chapter in life.

Replacing Dalton at 1-5 in 2 seasons isn't climbing the mount everest of roster management. Great isn't even in the conversation. Healthy and coachsble should have been with a QB 1 in his 3rd year.
-
A backup that isn't worth playing when they need it is just stupid. 2 years in a row Dalton has shown the adlbility ro be fun for 1 game and then he is washed. Thr fun game isn't great but it's fun at least. He is washed at this point and that fine for him. He had a good career. I agree about the hail merry type for a number 2 by this point in our peocess. It doesn't even have anything to do with Bryce because he has his own thing and it's his 3rd year. It's just about wasting a valuable roster spot in a spot where healthy guys still miss time. It's just dumb when they aren't a rookie and it's a little suspect in year 2...which it certainly was last year after 1 game and the backup's body broke down again. It was a natural time to let Dalton go into retirement and they did the dumb thing IMO.
-
Holy oxymoron. In all seriousness, I wasn't being serious. I'm familiar with Renfrow enough from seeing him play at Clemson.
-
Not really. Just with you and mrcompletely11. Even though CRA is not a big believer in the team currently, he at least engages in good faith debate regarding them. Trying to have a rational conversation with you where you don't crash out and start being dismissive is outright impossible, so triggering you with poo emojis and pointing out your Bryce hate is the most effort I'm willing to put in until you figure out how to be a person.
